After each of our sessions, we stretch out our bodies to help prevent muscle soreness, it brings our heartrate down to a steady pace and allows us to reflect upon our lesson. It also allows our minds to refocus, helping us to get ready for the next lesson.

We began our hockey unit by consolidating on our hockey skills. This included:

*being able to hold the stick properly

*being able to control a ball

*being able to stop a ball

We then moved on to passing and receiving the ball, then using these skills in an activity where we worked with our teams to each pass and receive the ball, before trying to score a goal in one of the four corner squares.

We continue to develop the skills introduced last week.

Some of our Year 6 sports leaders helped to lead our Autumn term intra-house competition.

Last lesson, we realised that lots of us were not able or confident in doing a forward roll, so we spent most of our session making sure that the majority of us felt more confident.

For those that started to find it easier, we were challenged to slow the sequence of movements down to try and perfect and gain more control each movement.
