         <description><![CDATA[<div>This element refers to teachers and the way that the split their students in to groups. This element is beneficial to the students because they are broken in to small groups. The grouping may change depending on the tasks that the teacher wants the students to complete. This helps students in the areas of problem-solving, investigation, making decisions, and completing experiments.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This element lists many strategies that can be used in order to create the desired outcome of the element. Majority of these strategies can be utilized across all grade levels, with some modifications of course. This element encourages collaborative learning which can be very beneficial for most students.<br><br>1. Cooperative Learning: This strategy involves the structuring of student groups. This allows for teachers to structure their small groups by tasks, skills, or ability level. This is an important strategy that is probably used by teachers on a daily basis due to it's effectiveness.<br><br>2. Peer Tutoring: This strategy is best used with students that have a great degree of variation within their learning abilities. This strategy occurs when higher level students assist students who need extra supports. This set up may change depending on the content that is being taught.<br><br>3. Journals: This strategy allows for student reflection and for students to show their thought process. The teacher can ask the student specific questions and the student responds here.<br><br>4. Think Logs: This strategy is similar to journals how more creativity is shown within a think log. The tasks that the teacher asks the student to complete are a bit more complex than simply answering a question like they would within a journal.<br><br>These strategies all allow for students to think on a higher level. They have to apply their current knowledge and build upon that in order to use these strategies.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Technology can be used in various ways to enhance the learning that is happening while using these strategies.&nbsp;<br><br>This can be done through the use of online team generators to help the teacher place students in to random small groups. Google classroom and Padlet can be used as an online journal or think log allowing the student to have one place that has all of their entries. The teacher is also able to see the students entries and offer feedback. Google hangouts or zoom could be used for peer tutoring allowing for face to face contact even if the students are in separate locations.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A few tips when using these strategies:<br><br>1. Remember to base these off of your individual student needs. Making adjustments when it is beneficial to all students involved.<br><br>2. Try to make sure your partners get along well and are willing to work together in order to create productivity. On the other hand, make sure they do not get along too well and forget to do their task at hand.<br><br>3. Finally, be willing to make adjustments to any of these strategies on a moments notice if you see they are not working for you or any of the students.</div>]]></description>
