Every adult in the building is assigned a small(ish) group of students who meet with them on a regular basis and do team building, community service, and/or guidance lessons. Advisors go through training to make sure all are comfortable facilitating the group. By having students have the sense of belonging, they feel better about coming to school daily. 

I also think our students have more "buy-in" when they see their work in the hallways and the common areas decorated with their things. I think our school needs more.
