One piece of information I learned from the video is that California has 53 legislators. It is the most popular state. I can believe this as California Is the biggest state and most populated. Another piece of information I learned was that the senate’s elections are every 6 years to insure the 1/3 is staggered for re-election in those times and not everyone at once. I also learned If the Senate wants to impeach any government official that there must be 2/3 majority vote. Just some interesting facts that I did not know before.

I already knew about the 3 different branches and each job that they are responsible for. This is something that we learned a little early in school and over time reviewed through school so it stuck with me. One thing that was reinforced is the cabinet. The cabinet includes members who serve as advisors to the president. There are some minimal details that we forget throughout the years so it’s good to be reminded.

I actually had a few questions but one that stood out the most is the rules for becoming any government official. Who decided 35 was the minimal age to become president? Who decided a president can only serve 2 terms? If a president is doing something great with our country, why should we elect a new president just because their “2 terms” are up? Just some things in the government that don’t quite make sense to me or many people of our nation. Just makes you question a lot when you really start to think about it.
