Period 1 - Reading - Oshiro

My favorite thing about reading class is how much fun our class has together. I used to be in a different period, and we didn’t get along so much. But once I moved to her 1st period, this class was much more fun to be in, and I’ve enjoyed the semester I’ve spent there. The top thing I learned in that class is that Ms. Oshiro likes to joke around a lot. I was put in the table right next to her desk, Ms. Oshiro and my table group make a lot of jokes with each other, and they can be really funny sometimes!! The thing I will miss most about this class is how much we get along. Most classes will have some people we like, and some people we don’t like, but our class, we don’t really care who is there. We all get along, and it makes me really happy to see everyone happy.

Period 2 - Choir - Miles.

My favorite thing about choir is that we learn in more of a fun way. Most classes go through a full process, the a test. But with choir, we prepare ourselves for a concert, and the concert is how you pay off your learning. The concerts are so much fun too. The top thing I’ve learned in this class is that you should have fun while doing music. Most people will do it just for the grade, or just because they didn’t like the other electives. But I actually enjoy singing and choir is a fun way to learn about music. The thing I will miss most about this class is that I won’t be doing this part of music anymore. I chose to only do band and, I won’t do choir anymore. Mr. Miles has taught me so much about how to sing properly, and I will miss him and his teaching ways as well.

Period 3 - Washington State History - Tiegs.

My favorite thing about this class was the teacher, Mr. Tiegs. He was a teacher who used sarcasm a lot, but it made class more fun because he will make me laugh, and I’m a student who he likes because I understand the sarcasm. The top thing I learned in this class is to put in your best effort. I did well in that class, but most of the assignments were really easy. Once it came to the WSH fair, I didn’t do so well of one portion of the whole process, and I learned from my mistake, then put in my best effort. The thing I will miss most about this class is how organized the class was. You’d walk into class and the board would tell you to write in your agenda, and Mr. Tiegs’ agenda for the day. I like when a teacher is organized and has everything planned out.

Period 4 - Band - Miles.

My favorite thing about this class was that we grew as a musical family together. Mr. Miles said that we we’re one of his favorite bands because we adapted quickly to everything we have learned in the past two years.

The top thing I learned in this class is that you can do anything you believe to achieve. I, myself, didn’t think I was capable of being the best clarinet player I could be, but I’ve been first chair since the beginning of last year, and I made it into the top band at Columbia, which was a huge achievement. The thing I will miss most about this class is everyone in the class. Some students aren’t doing band, or didn’t get into the top band, and I like how much we’ve grown to become a big family, because we work so well together.

Period 5 - Language Arts - Fingarson.

My favorite thing about this class is that we have a lot of fun. I haven’t been in this class all year long, but I’ve been there long enough to know that we are a smart class, and we can get things done. We also have a lot of fun learning too! The top thing I learned in this class is to not procrastinate. Ms. Fingarson is a very strict when it comes to turning things in on time, and that has taught me to care about all of my assignments and get them done in time. The thing I will miss most about this class is Ms. Fingarson. She is an amazing and funny teacher to have, and I’m glad I had her this year. She taught me so much, and she did it in a fun way as well. I hope to have her again while I’m in high school.

Period 6 - Math - Harlow.

My favorite thing about this class was making my group of friends. We’re more like a family now, and although they get on my nerves sometimes, I love them dearly. We made the “Harhigh Squad” correlating to Mr. Harlow’s name. The “squad” consists of me, Kianna Bolante, Emily Dutka, Emma Hart, Lilybeth Esau, and Hoeun Son. The top thing I learned in this class was to work as a team together.Once we all became really good friends, we all worked together to get out work done, and we rarely had any work at the end of the day. We all motivated each other during the social media challenge , and this how we are a family today. Something I will miss about this class is all of the friends that I have made this year. Although we will all have the same subject of Algebra, I am afraid that we won’t have the same class period together. We have made a promise that we will always be friends, no matter how often we see each other around school.

Period 7 - Science - Holdener.

My favorite thing about this class is all of the stuff we actually learned. I liked all of the stars and planets and outer space stuff. It was very interesting to learn about this year. The thing I learned most in this class is to not waste time. My class wasn’t the best class, because most of the students were disruptive, and I could tell it bugged Mr. Holdener a lot, so I tried to tell some of the classmates who were talking to be quiet. The thing I will miss about this class is Mr. Holdener. This was his first year teaching, and it wasn’t too bad. I like seeing people progress and get better and better what they really like doing for their career.

Period 1-WSH TIEGS
My favorite thing about about this class is that our whole class is very opinionated and we all get along very well and understand each other. The top thing I learned is that Mr.Tiegs grades projects and essays very harshly which is a good thing because then I really pushed my self to be detailed and do my best. Something I will miss about this class is Mr.Tiegs' sarcasm and all of his really corny jokes and comments that we would all laugh at like they where funny even thought they really aren't.
Period 2- CHOIR MILES
My favorite thing about this choir is that we learn so many new things and I am always improving on my singing. We also always learn in a fun way too! The top thing I learned is that all of our teachers really care about us and that they all love us very much. Something I will miss is Mr.Miles with his personality and his random comments.
Period 3-MATH KRIEGER
My favorite thing about Math is that I am always learning skills that will help me in my everyday life right now and also skills that can help me in the future. The top thing I learned is that you have to pay a lot of more money than I thought when you are older. Something I will miss about this class is how much fun we always have and also just always seeing MS.Krieger and her smiling face.
Period 4- SCIENCE BOYD
My favorite thing about this class is that we always start off on a positive note with the joke of the day even thought the jokes are really bad. The top thing I learned in science is that kyle talks, a lot. It seems that he always has a comment on anything and everything. Something I will miss about this class is all of Ms.Boyds great come backs!
Period 5-WRITING FINGARSON
My favorite thing about this class is that we have so many fun moments and we are a family and not just classmates. Something I learned in this class is that you can still have fun while learning. What I will miss most about this class is you Mrs.Fingarson.I have had you for two years now and it is going to be hard not seeing you next year. You help me when I have questions and you are overall one of my favorite teachers and I am going to miss you so much next year and I cant believe that I wont see you everyday.
Period 6-PE DARNEILLE
My favorite thing about PE is that I always push myself to beat my last score I got before. Something I learned is that you don't always need to talk when youre stretching or in general because our class is very very VERY chatty! Something I will miss about this class is that Mr.Darnielle lets us in on his own personal life like, about hs knee and he also told me that his sister got knee surgery and he was telling her about how me and Alexandra performed "Sisters" at the assembly. That just really made me smile.
Period 7- READING OSHIRO
My favorite thing about reading is that we always stay positive with everything we do. Even if it is a presentation for something we will put a joke in it. Something I learned in this class is Ms.Oshiros favorite saying, "don't be a jerk" I believe this just basically somes up everything in life. Something I will miss about this class is all of Ms.Oshiros pandas and how we where alowed to have them at our desk and also how Ms.Oshiro would pretend they where real and go around having people pet them.

Period 1- Ms.Oshiro

My favorite thing in Ms.Oshiro's class is how everyone is so funny and humorous. Especially Ms.Oshiro even though some of her jokes are jokes she still is very funny and cheers everyone up. My favorite thing I learned in Ms.Oshiro's class is that we really need to be good when a sub comes. This will help me in future classes and I will be paying attention and not get in trouble. Something I will miss the how everyone in our class is really funny and this keeps everyone happy.

Period 2- Mr.Harlow

My favorite thing in that class is how Mr.Harlow tells his jokes and is very funny. Also a lot of my friends are in that class. What I learned that class is how to find circumference and multiple other useful math problems. What I will miss in that class is Mr.Harlow because he is funny and calm. He also helps me if I don't get a problem.

Period 3- Mr.Holdener

My favorite thing in his class is that he allows plays us a video whenever we learn something about it. This is fun because I like watching videos because a lot of kids do like. What I learned in that class is if I want to pass a class I need to listen and take notes. Something I will miss in that class is that everyone in that class is funny and Mr.Holdener always has funny jokes.

Period 4- Mr.Tiegs

My favorite thing in that class is that Mr.Tiegs is funny and has good ideas. Like he shows us some strategies like for the fair. I learned many things in his class about Washington and I learned a lot of new places. What I will miss about that class is Mr.Tiegs' sarcasm which I think got all of us to smile at points and to laugh.

Period 5- Mrs.Fingarson

My favorite thing about that class is how creative our class and Mrs.Fingarson is. It brightens the class up. Something I learned how to do in that class is how to write really well essays. This will help me in school and in the real world. What I will miss about our class is how nice how everyone is and how we all listen.

Period 6- Mr.Darnielle

My favorite thing in this class is how we always are energetic everyone is and everyone participates. What I learned about that class is to always try your best and to keep your pace. This will help me if I ever want to run or something. What I will miss about that class is how everyone actually try to do everything and everyones nice.

Period 7- Mr.Garrett

My favorite thing in that class is the robots and the programing. This is really fun to see our robot go and all the testing. What I learned in that class is how to program and everything even more. What I will miss about that class is how funny Mr.Garrett is and how nice he is.

1st: Reading-Ms. Oshiro

2nd: Washington State History-Mr. Tiegs

3rd: Science-Mr. Holdener

4th: Band-Mr. Miles

5th: Language Arts-Ms. Fingarson

6th: Math-Mr. Harlow

7th: T.A.-Ms. Fingarson

Period 1: My favorite thing about reading and my class is all the inside jokes and quotes that people have said. They bring so much joy to the lessons and make class even more enjoyable. When someone says something funny in class it also brightens the mood and makes me laugh. One of my favorite quotes during this school year was one from Ms. Oshiro herself. It was during volleyball season, and the announcements were going. They said that “Lauren had two kills during the match. Ms. Oshiro then says, “Just like Johnny did!” Chloe and I started laughing so much and Ms. Oshiro was too. At first Chloe and I were the only ones who heard, so now it’s like an inside joke for us. The top thing that I learned this year in Ms. Oshiro's class was how to be comfortable when talking up at the front of the class. We have done so many presentations in class for all kinds of projects. At the beginning of the year I was always nervous to go up to the front and present for the class. Each time when Ms. Oshiro said that we were presenting something or teaching the class I got really bummed because I felt that I wasn’t good at it. However now I’m thankful for it. I can now go up and present for the class and not feel so embarrassed. All this preparation is going to help me in the future for when I need to present. Something that I’ll miss about this class is Ms. Oshiro's pandas. She loves pandas and has multiple stuffed ones in her class. This have brought so many memories to the class and they are always available for comfort. Many funny events have happened with the pandas and I’m going to miss them.

Period 2: My favorite thing about Washington state history and the class was the field trip to the Washington State History Fair. This was really fun, but engaging at the same time. My group was Gabby W. Mya H. Anna M. and Grace L. They were so much fun to hang out with. They made the field trip so much more fun. The best part was when Gabby was sitting on a railing in one of the exhibits and she fell backwards off of it. This made me laugh so hard! The top thing I learned from this class was to push myself to work harder. Mr. Tiegs is a very sarcastic teacher that makes you think on your own. He want just give you the answer to questions that he asks like previous teachers that I have had. He may seem like he is joking or giving you an answer, but you can never quite tell with him. This makes me work harder and push myself to better and not just expect things. Something I will miss is Mr. Tiegs’ sarcasm. Although it could get annoying at times it still made me laugh. Especially when people believe him and get all worried that they didn’t do something right. One time Mr. Tiegs said something about there being a dead bird on the ceiling. Half the class looked up and were like there isn’t! This was really funny and now we always make jokes about that moment.

Period 3: My favorite thing about science was the labs that we did. One of my favorites was the one when you and a partner made a baby. We had to flip a coin and see what genotypes and phenotypes you, your partner, and your baby had. This was really fun to experience and see what happens when reproducing. It was hilarious to see all the drawings of the babies that the groups made. The top thing I learned was that to have a smooth class you need to stay on task. Mr. Holdener always made sure that we were paying attention so we didn’t miss anything important. If we got off task he would wait and sit there until we stopped talking. It was really important to not talk and help everyone else to stay focused on the lesson that Mr. Holdener is teaching. Something I’ll miss about this class is Mr. Holdener’s little games/tricks and his jokes. He would always have us try something to relax our minds and have some fun before we worked really hard. One of the games he taught us was one where we had to get in a circle and count to 10 going from person to person, but if you were the one to say 10 you would be out. It was really fun to watch and play. It also really helped get my mind off of SBA testing. I hope I have another teacher that does these types of activities.

Period 4: My favorite thing about band is the sounds that we were able to make. At the very beginning in 6th grade none of us knew anything about our instruments. We played and we sounded terrible for about the first month or so! I thought that it was so hard to play, but before I knew it we were breezing through the book. There was so many difficult times for every section in the band and we would have to stop and fix it each time. But, now I’m glad we did because it has improved our sound. I love how Mr. Miles always pushed us to play the best we could all the way from beginning band to concert band. Everyone tries their best and that’s what makes us so good! The top thing that I learned was that practice and hard work makes permanent. If you don’t practice your instrument, there is no way you can get better. I practice every day that I can for 30 or more minutes to make sure I play all of my songs well. In band we have challenges for chairs in your section and if you don’t practice the challenge songs you are most likely to lose and not get to be moved up. Band means a lot to me and I want to improve and be the best that I can be. Something that I’ll miss is Mr. Miles silliness. He can always make the entire class laugh by things he says or actions that he makes. Sometimes he even makes raps with things that we need to change and they aren’t funny, but that’s what makes it funny!

Period 5: My favorite thing about language arts is all the fun activities we do. Ms. Fingarson always comes up with the best lessons to teach us all the things that we need for 8th grade. She can take the most boring lesson in the world and turn it into something unique and all around fun to do. Her lessons always get the whole class involved and engaged in the lesson. They are so out of the box and creative, that I never get tired being in her class. One of my favorite activity that we are currently doing is the final. Normally a final is a vocab test or written test, but Ms. Fingarson came up with an activity that us students can enjoy. I love how we get to make a movie about our 7th grade year because we are able to reflect on it from a unique standpoint. The top thing I learned this year in this class is to work hard and fast rather than procrastinating. All of Ms. Fingarson’s assignments are very important and will affect your grade if you don’t do them. She also won’t just give assignments for fun. They mean a lot and go with the lesson, so they are a big part of your grade. If you wait until the last minute you will most likely not get a good score. I have learned to work hard on all the projects we get because I want the best grade possible. The thing I will miss most about this class is all the creative minds that we have. There are so many funny and unique things that people have said that I will never forget. The one I remember the most is our class discussions during The Giver book. These always got crazy, but they were fun to engage in. Especially when Kyle said that they were in a dome in beijing. Then Gabby started correcting him and it was really funny!

Period 6: My favorite thing about math is all the people I got to meet and become friends with. First semester I knew who a lot of people in my class were, but I didn’t know really anything about them. I made some really good friends and we always worked together and helped each other. I remember when Anica Na and I would get separate answers and then we would argue about who was right, and when we confused each other with our answers we would go up to Mr. Harlow and ask him who was right! This always made me laugh. However at second semester almost everyone I worked with got switched to a new period, and then I was left alone because I didn’t know anybody. That feeling didn’t last for long because I quickly made friends and I’m glad I met them. That being said the top thing I learned from this class was that just because you don’t know someone doesn’t mean you can’t learn to know them. I met someone new poeple just in one year in one class. I may have seen them around school, but I never actually talked to them before. This lesson helped interact with others and help people when in need. Something that I’ll miss about this class is Mr. Harlow’s stories. He always told us stories about things that have happened to him in his life. They would almost always help us with the lesson that he was teaching, but they were really funny and sometimes serious. They really helped me realize some important information.

Period 7: My favorite thing about being a T.A. was being able to get a lot of my homework done during class. Whenever Ms. Fingarson didn’t have anything for Majesta and I to do, we got to do homework from other classes. I really liked how I was able to get most of my homework done during class because then I wasn’t so stressed in getting it all done at home. I could easily finish the rest of my homework, and then I could enjoy my afternoon. One thing that I learned from this class is how make coffee. The first time that Majesta and I got asked to make coffee we forgot some of the steps that Ms. Fingarson told us to do and we were really worried. After that Ms. Fingarson only asked us to make coffee one or two more times, so I think that was a sign that we made it wrong! Something I’ll miss about the class, was helping Ms. Fingarson out. Whenever she asked Majesta and I to do something for her I was up and ready.

Period 1- science, Mrs. Boyd
My favorite thing about this class is that I was never bored, we always had something to do and it was entertaining. The top thing I learned is that science is not boring. I used to hate science at the beginning of the year I though it wasn't interesting and that we don't just sit and listen to boring facts but we get to get up and do labs and other things like that. One thing I will miss is Mrs. Boyd's energy. She was always doing something and always laughing which brightened up the day and made it a little more fun.

Period 2- math, Mr. Harlow

My favorite thing about this class is that I had a lot of my friends in that class and we would do our work all together. The one thing I learned in this class is that you really need to take notes and do your hardest to keep up because I was not the best at the subject and I found myself falling back a little and I had to figure out how to catch my self up. One thing I'll miss about math is that Mr. Harlow was a very kind teacher and he let us work with others and talk a little but he still kept us under control.

Period 3- tech, Mr. Garrett
My favorite thing about the class was that Mr. Garrett let us go at our own pace and told us to try to figure out a lot of things on our own which is a helpful skill to know. The top thing I learned was that in our group of partners we all need to work together and do equal amounts of work or else our group would fall behind. The one thing I will miss is doing all the things with the robot because it is so interesting to me and I didn't really know robots were like the ones we had. I was thinking they would be like the ones you see in movies but they were actually really cool and fun to make.

Period 4- reading, Ms. Oshiro
My favorite thing about her class is that she was strict but not too strict. She made us laugh but really kept us under control and she would tell stories as long as we were working. The top thing that I learned is that reading is actually fun. I used to hate reading and I thought it just took too much time and it wasn't fun but the outsiders was really good and it actually takes not that long to finish a book. The one thing I will miss is Ms. Oshiro's sense of humor. She let us have fun and would say jokes and laugh and tell stories that were fun and not always on topic but she still was able to teach us a lot.

Period 5- Ms. Fingerson

My favorite thing about the class was that it was so creative and unique. She really took a lot of time to plan out things and was really devoted to our classes and you could tell by all the things we learned and accomplished. For example, just dwp is so creative yet simple. No other teacher I know has created this and her questions are always completely different and interesting to write about. The top thing that I learned is that writing is quite simple as long as you do it right. At the beginning of the year when I found out we would be writing essays and things like that I had no idea what to do and I was really freaked out, but as time went on they became easier and more Fun to write and practice.
One thing I will miss is the people in the class. We all were pretty layed back even if it was the appropriate time to be loud. I felt comfortable with everyone.

Period 6- WSH, Mr. Tiegs

My favorite thing about this class was that each day we had something to do and it took up most of the period. We always had a task to do or something to listen to and we did not really ever have homework. The top thing that I learned is that a lot of things go into a good presentation. At the fair we had to say a lot of things and we had to know a lot of things . A lot of people couldn't hear me so I had to be really loud which was a big struggle for me. One thing I will miss is working on the project because I had two friends in my group and we got to talk and work together.

Period 7 PE, Mrs. Arndt

My favorite thing about this class is all the activities we get to do. I got to play games with my friends. One thing I learned was how to do a lot of things like softball, I had never played it before and it was fun. Also how to play basketball. I was not the best at it but my team wasn't either so no one really cared. One thing I will miss is getting a chance to just relaxe and play games and not have to write a lot of stuff or work on worksheets. We just had fun.

Period 1 - Science, Boyd

My favorite thing about this class is that it is filled with just about all of the loudest students in the school. We make funny jokes, create friendships and we make each other laugh. (and annoyed sometimes!) The top thing I learned in that class is that Mrs. Boyd loves to make puns. Of course, before I was in her class I knew she loved to make jokes, but I never knew that in the middle of a lesson she will just crack out a joke, even if it was serious! She tries to make the best of every situation no matter if it were saddening, angering, or already funny. I'm definitely going to miss having test Jeopardy and the Back at the Beginning song that she *makes* us sing. Her upbeat character makes class so much fun and it's going to suck not having her brightening my day in the morning.

Period 2 - Choir, Miles

My favorite thing about this class is that I get the blessing of hearing Mr.Miles tell an awkward joke. You see, I have him for two periods, yet, I only hearing the most awkward ones in this class. Not only do I enjoy his jokes, I also enjoy hearing all of my classmates' reactions. Some, like Whitley will just go, "Wow, Mr.Miles," while others will continue to laughing joke around with him. I find this a great way to start the rest of my day. The top thing I have learned in this class is that we are very, and I mean, very talkative. he has described us as the "most loudest choir" he has ever had, and not in a singing volume type way. However, I do think this makes us an even more unique choir. I totally miss the concerts we perform. They are super stressful, yet exciting. I couldn't imagine the concerts going any other way.

Period 3 - Math, Harlow

Now this class happens to be the most random class I am in. One moment we will go from not talking to screaming about politics. I honestly enjoy it in an annoying type of way. We did the life project (well currently doing so) and I find it so helpful. I knew most of what we are doing so far, but I have tied some confusing questions up as we get more into it. Mr.Harlow puts up with my lame jokes everyday and I couldn't be more grateful. I will miss having Kyle sitting next to me screaming about how he will marry Megan Fox for the project. (I don't think he did.)

Period 4 - Band, Miles

This was my favorite class all year, and there are a few reasons. I really love music, (which is why I am in both music classes and have been for 2 years) and I don't think I would be loving it as much as I do if it weren't for this class. I had many of my present classmates in my old band last year, and my favorite thing is to see them grow with their skills. They are all very talented and it hurts to see them go so soon after this year, but I know they will keep their passion with them outside of school. The top thing I have learned this year in this class was that we truly are all a music family. I see the same people everyday and day in and day out I see their emotions change and the tone on their instruments differ. Whenever one of us is sad, all of us are sad with them. we focus and train hard for our end of the year concerts and U don't think that will change after this year. One thing I will miss from this class is seeing them all. I have memorized the order that most of them come in at, and looking at next year's music room door and not seeing them ever walk is in going to kill me, but hopefully they will continue their love for music outside of the band room.

Period 5 - Language Arts, Fingarson

Now, I have a lot to say about this class. My favorite thing ever about having this class 5th period is that very slightly, after every question, you can hear Julian and Kyle blurt out their two cents into the conversation. They are truly the most hilarious duo I've ever met and the fact that Mrs.Fingarson tries her hardest to put up with them is a funny sight in itself. As, they always end up getting the talking to. The top thing I've learned in this class is that you can't work hard if you don't relax. Mrs.Fingarson taught me that if you aren't doing well and if you are going overload too hardcore on your brain, then you're gonna have a bad time. I will ultimately miss the comforting atmosphere of this class and I just feel so safe in that class and it will be terrible once I won't have it 5th period anymore right after lunch.

Period 6 - Reading, Oshiro

My personal favorite about this class is all the different personalities are spattered across the room. We have extremely loud people next to very quiet students, but we some how all get along. Ms.Oshiro makes this class shine even brighter with her interesting life stories relating to each lesson. The top thing I learned in this class is that 1:23 is the most important time of the day. Here, I'll give you some back story. Matthew from my class saw the clock strike 1:23 and in the middle of class ran up to Ms.Oshiro and stated, "It's 1:23" and she couldn't stop laughing for a solid 5 minutes.

Period 7 - WSH, Jobe

Oh, WSH... I originally had Mr.Tiegs 5th period until I transferred to Jobe 7th. I guess you can say I never got over the switch as that was my favorite class. However, I have learned to like this class 7th period. My favorite thing about this class is how relateable Mr.Jobe is. Yes, he is older and is getting married, but he is basically like a 13 year old when he is in our class (not in an immature way, more so in a humor way). the top thing I have learned in this class is you should choose a cooperative WSH Fair group! I fortunately chose a funny yet serious one, but I did see others who just chose their friends and didn't get any work done until last minute. I will mostly miss Mr.Jobe's Google Slides mistakes as he types as if he is 10 minutes late to a meeting but needs to get it done.

Something I learned was that you can be goofy and funny and learn. Something I'll miss is how ms Oshiro always made sure we had fun. I am a fan of Star Wars myself, and it's nifty to have a teacher who shares the same interests with me. The top thing that I've learned from Mr. Stevens’ class was economics and business skills. I really liked learning this because I could apply this learning in the future. Something I'll miss about this class is the fact that most of my friends are there. In this class there's Anica, Kianna, Baovy, Tyra, and my bestest friend of all, Emily.

2nd pd: My favorite thing about PE is that I got a chance to play softball. I, of course am not the best at softball, but I think that the sport is fun and sometimes I get lucky and get a home run. The top thing that I learned was that practice makes permanent. I realized that if you want to be good at something, perhaps a sport, then you have to keep practicing. Something I'll miss about the class is Mr. Darnielle and Mrs. Arndt. Both teachers are really humorous and Mrs. Arndt always challenges me both physically, and academically, (considering the fact that she was an honor’s core teacher last year.) °◡°ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

3rd pd: My favorite thing about Mrs. Boyd’s class is her corny jokes. Mrs. Boyd does a thing called, “Joke of the day” and they make me laugh all the time. The top thing that I learned was how plants germinate. I thought that unit was really interesting, and it's easy to see that plants are very similar to humans! Something I'll miss about the class is the fun labs we do. There is a lot of writing involved, however doing multiple trials on various experiments is really neat.

4th pd: My favorite thing about Mr. Garrett’s Tech class is EVERYTHING! Mr. Garrett is sarcastic, but in a way that makes you laugh. I have a strong interest in technology, and being in his class is exciting because I got to learn how to do certain things on the computer, how to program robots, etc. The top thing I learned in Mr. Garrett’s class is that the engineering/programming process is very similar to the writing process. Something I'll miss about Mr. Garrett’s class is programming robots as assignments.

5th pd: My favorite thing about Mrs. Fingarson’s writing class is that Ms. Fingarson is a great teacher. Mrs. Fingarson is a great mix of funny and serious that I gain a lot from her class. The top thing I learned in her class was how to write an argument essay. I now know how to write an essay if I need to persuade the reader to agree with my position/stance. Something I'll miss about the class is Mrs. FIngarson’s great teaching ability. Mrs. Fingarson is great at preparing me for tests and other assignments.

6th pd: My favorite thing about Mr. Harlow’s class is that he gives me thorough explanations on how to solve a certain problem. This is really helpful when I have to take a math test. The top thing I learned in Mr. Harlow’s class is how to apply math in the future. I learned money-related terms such as interest and credit score, and how to calculate totals for various things. Something I'll miss about the class is Mr. Harlow’s life stories/lessons. He tells us funny stories all the time that make me laugh.

7th pd: My favorite thing about Ms. Oshiro’s class is that Ms. Oshiro gives us creative and fun assignments/finals. I really liked the Super Mario based active reading final. Adeline and I got a little over 23 minutes and beat the record of 34 minutes and 11 seconds. The top thing I learned in Ms. Oshiro’s class was how to make active reading strategies. This helped me understand the main idea better. Something I'll miss about the class is Ms. Oshiro’s kind and humble personality.

Too soon?".

Period 2:

My favorite thing about the Mr. Harlow's class was the life project.

1st: WA State History- Mr. Stevens
2nd: T.A.- Mr. Scott
3rd: Science- Mr. Holdener
4th: Math- Mr. Harlow
5th: Language Arts- Mrs. Fingarson
6th: Art- Mrs. Baxter
7th: Reading- Ms. Oshiro

1st Period: My favorite thing about WA State History class was the fact that we were always allowed to state our own opinions. I like that about 1st period because sometimes during other classes I might have something I want to say but sometimes I can't state my own opinion and add on to the conversation. However in first period we are always allowed to do so and it's always really nice to hear what other people have to say. Another thing is that it's really amusing and interesting when the conversation turns into Mr. Stevens V.S Gabby. That's my favorite thing about 1st period.
Something I've learned during the time I have been in WA State History is that being successful is hard. I've realized/learned that because in class currently we're learning about economy and Mr. Stevens simplified the supply and demand curve but it still made me realize how hard it is to find that equilibrium in life. Mr. Stevens also talks to us about his own experiences in life which just adds on to me learning about how being successful in life is hard but that success isn't measured in the money you have. This is something I have learned in 1st period.
One thing I will miss about this class is our unnecessary debates that always manage to happen during class on almost every topic. I seriously don't know how but it always happens but I don't mind because it's always interesting to listen to or to get involved in. I'm gonna miss these debates because it's almost practically a class trademark now so that's definitely something I'm gonna miss.

2nd Period: I like everything about T.A.- ing for Mr. Scott because he always takes the time to listen to what I have to say and answers all of my questions. This way I feel very assured with him and I enjoy being his teacher assistant. However if I had to choose my favorite thing about being his teacher assistant is that he always tells me about what he thinks and I appreciate that because he's letting me in and it just makes 2nd period really fun, especially with the sixth graders. At first, I couldn't really adjust to class but now I feel very comfortable and it's all thanks to Mr. Scott.
I learned in 2nd period that it's no easy feat to be a teacher because in 2nd period I can see Mr. Scott sometimes struggle to keep the students under control. So, I have learned that some students need more care than certain students and that a teacher's job never ends. I have even more respect for this occupation because it is not a job that should be underestimated. So, that's one major thing I learned while being Mr. Scott's teacher assistant.
One thing I will miss about this period is how I'm always like to Mr. Scott, " Please give me work, I'll do anything because I'm dying from boredom." I say that so many times because Mr. Scott barely gives me any work and I know he does that because he cares for me but sometimes being in that class is so boring. I literally have to resort to counting dots on the ceiling to entertain myself. I'm really gonna miss that part about 2nd period because when I say that Mr. Scott always just laughs. I'm really going to miss that.

3rd period: My favorite thing about Science is definitely Mr. Holdener's little games that we do. It sounds a little ridiculous but everybody really gets into it and it's pretty hilarious to see. It's always to play games with my peers so that's my favorite thing about 3rd period. I really like it because Mr. Holdener takes the time to look for or think up these little games so I think it's just something fun in 3rd period.
I learned multiple things in 3rd period but the most important thing is to never underestimate yourself. I'm saying this because sometimes I will say I don't understand what he's asking and I'm just like, " I can't do this." However Mr. Holdener always explains and I realize that it was really simple and after doing this a couple of times, I've learned that you know a lot more than you expect and to believe in the brain your mama has given you.
I'm gonna miss how in 3rd period I'm always like, " Mr. Holdener is so old." I don't mean it in a rude way but it's just an ongoing joke and it's really funny because he's always like I haven't turned 30 yet and I'm really gonna miss it. Mr. Holdener's responses are always enjoyable because sometimes he looks at me incredulously. So that's what I'm going to miss in 3rd period.

4th period: My number 1 favorite thing about Math is Mr. Harlow’s mysteries because they are really fun. It’s funny because everybody is so quiet when he says it because everybody wants to be the one that gets the mystery right and I try my best but usually I get it wrong. It’s fine though because it's not about who gets it right but the experience or that’s what I tell myself. Anyway, it’s kind of sad though because we haven’t had a lot of time to do one of those but before school ends I want to do one so we can end off the year with a bang. That is my favorite thing about Mr. Harlow’s 4th period class.
I’ve learnt tons of things while in math but the one I want to mention are the checking account worksheets we do because it’s a mini version if what we are going to do in the future as adults so I think it’s a cool thing to do. When I do those sometimes my brain just goes blank because I’m just like I struggle with this now but what am I going to do in the future?! However that is a bridge to cross when I come to it. Checking accounts are something I learned in Math recently.
I’m going to miss the useless rants I always have with Mr. Harlow because they are such good memories for me. Mr. Harlow is a really kind person because he always listens to what I have to say even though it takes time out of his day so I appreciate that but my rants and Mr. Harlow’s responses are always so funny. I’m always glad that Mr. Harlow doesn’t mind listening to me ramble on because sometimes you have to rant and let some things out and that’s how life is so it’s really nice to know there’s someone to listen to me. Although it is sad that there won’t be anymore when I have to leave that’s why it’s something I’m going to miss.

5th: I have so many things I like about 5th period but my favorite would be Mrs. Fingarson and her little moments with her stuffed animals, like it’s just Mrs. Fingarson’s trademark. I sincerely love the stuffed animal family from Tuffy to Gary the gator, what’s not to like? Besides that what’s amusing is Mrs. Fingarson interacting with her stuffed animals it’s just really entertaining to watch and I mean that in a good way. In conclusion that has got to be one of my favorite things about this class.
One specific thing I learned while being in Mrs. Fingarson’s class is that things stick with you and that may sound a little confusing but I’ll explain. What I mean by stick with me is like we have tons of vocab words but strangely even if I don’t study my flashcards for like a week not that I don’t study my flashcards but I can remember most of them. I think that’s really fascinating because it’s to the point where most of them are drilled into my head. What’s even more shocking is that even though my memory isn’t the greatest strangely I can remember my vocab words even though I can’t remember what I ate last night. I think this a really cool thing I’ve learned because it shows that if you repeat something so much, you cannot forget it. All in all, this is one thing out of many that I learned while being in Mrs. Fingarson’s class.
I’m going to miss all the little stories you like to share with us about previous years or about Tuffy because they are always really fun to listen to and I think it’s cool how you can remember such stories and tell us them because I personally enjoy it. I like that you share stories because it shows that you care about us and want to get closer to us and I will miss that a lot because I’ve gotten used to it so I think it will feel weird without it. I also hope that in the future you tell stories about us to your incoming students and what a great class we were. *wink wink* Thank you for all your guidance and I really am going to miss you and everything about our class.

6th: Something I most like about Art are when we use watercolors because it’s really fun to do. Another thing is that painting is something I personally like to do so I extremely like it when we are allowed to paint. I especially like pastel colors because they are really gentle and relaxing so I like to paint with pastel colors. I’m still not the best at painting but I’m happy I get to do it at school so it’s my favorite thing about art class.
In art class I learned about things like art qualities which I did not know about before art class. Some art qualities are value, shape, color, texture, etc. When I first learned about these art qualities in class I was amazed because I realized that I still had a lot to learn and that I really was a beginner but not that I have learned about things like this it’s just really cool for me. I hope to become a better artist in the future so I can expand my areas of expertise and art has really helped me do just that. So that was something I learned about it 6th period.
I’m going to miss all of my classmates in Art because we have became such great friends and they are the ones that really make art worthwhile so it’s a little bitter to think about not having classes with them in the future. I’m glad I met all these people in art and to have bonds with them and become friends is a really treasured experience for me because I didn’t know a lot of them in the beginning. So I’m thankful to art for giving me a place to meet all these people and that’s what I am going to be missing about 6th period.

7th: In Ms. Oshiro’s class my favorite thing about it are all the pandas in her class because I think it’s such a big part of Ms. Oshiro and it was great to learn about it. I really like the pandas in Ms. Oshiro’s class because first of all they are so cute and it’s just really hilarious to see everybody in class fighting over them and it gets vicious at times. Besides that I believe the pandas gave us a way to get closer to Ms. Oshiro who is a new teacher and it’s just something that relates me to Ms. Oshiro and that is one of the main reasons that they are my favorite thing about her class. Now it’s just kind of known that without pandas there is no Ms. Oshiro so it’s like Ms. Oshiro’s symbol. In conclusion, Ms. Oshiro’s pandas are my favorite things about 7th period.
While in Ms. Oshiro’s class I have learned to not be a jerk. I say this in a good way because that’s one of the first things Ms. Oshiro taught us because she said not to be a jerk so we could have a good year and I think it’s a meaningful thing she said to us because it makes sense and by making sure we are not terrible people I think we had a really great year. I believe that this is an important piece of advice to future students because if you aren’t in the right mindset then school is going to be horrible but truthfully it really isn’t, so remember to not be a jerk now and in the future is what I want to say to future students.
I’m going to miss all of Ms. Oshiro’s corny jokes and puns because it’s just like something hilarious in our class. I really think that those corny jokes are part of the class because we can’t go a class period without them. Since Ms. Oshiro has some really bad jokes but over time they have become really endearing to me. That’s why it’s bittersweet for me to think that I won’t be able to hear them in a week but hopefully in the future I will be able to see her again. To recap, Ms. Oshiro’s really bad puns and jokes are going to be something I will dearly miss in the future.

Period 1 - Washington State History - Stevens

My favorite thing about this class are the people and friends in it. Most of my peers in this class were in my core class last year and it’s nice getting to see everyone again for a second time. Everyone is really nice, and they always help me out when I need it. The top thing I learned in WSH is not to procrastinate. When we were working on the WSHF projects, Mr. Stevens would tell us to not procrastinate everyday. He told us that the quality of our final projects would be way worse if we procrastinated, rather than doing it as we go along. Something I will miss about this class is Mr. Stevens’ personality. When we were doing binder checks, he asked someone why they don't have anything in their dividers and the student replied that the papers weren’t hole punched. Then, Mr. Stevens pointed to the hole puncher for about a minute, and then he held it in the air and shook it showing the student that there was a hole puncher there all year. When he shook it, all of the paper that was in the hole puncher fell out and Mr. Stevens just walked back to his desk like nothing happened.

Period 2 - Choir - Miles

My favorite thing about this class is the way that we learn things in this class. Mr. Miles usually says a few jokes throughout the day to make everyone feel happy and we also get Choir Cash if we answer a question correctly, and we can use the Choir Cash to buy things in his prize box if we have enough. On a normal day, we usually sing part of a song, Mr. Miles makes a few jokes, and then we continue learning and practicing the songs to get ready for the concert. The top thing I learned in choir was confidence and to have fun. I never thought as myself as a singer, but my cousin persuaded me to take choir as one of my electives. Mr. Miles would sometimes have us get into little groups and have one or two people be one part, and there would be about three different parts. Then, he would have a competition to see which group can sing the best, and they would earn Choir Cash. This helped boost my confidence because I would never imagine myself being able to sing in a choir, and it also taught me fun ways to sing and learn songs in choir. Something I will miss is Mr. Miles’ personality. He always makes many jokes in this class, and he tells us funny stories that have happened to him throughout his teaching career and that makes the whole class cheer up and laugh.

Period 3 - Science - Boyd

My favorite thing about Mrs. Boyd’s class is joke of the day. Every day, she tells a joke before we go over our entry task. The jokes always cheer me up, and they make the class more enjoyable. Sometimes, she tells us other jokes throughout the class to cheer us up and to make us laugh. The top thing that I learned in this class is that if you pay attention, then you get many of the answers to the test. Many people don’t pay attention in class, but Mrs. Boyd makes many of the questions we go over in class be the exact same questions on the test. I like this because if we pay attention, we get free answers to the test. Something I will miss about this class are the jokes Mrs. Boyd always tells us because it makes the class more enjoyable and energetic.

Period 4 - Band - Miles

My favorite thing about this class are my peers in this class. Most of us have been in the same band class for two years, and it’s nice to see how far we’ve come from playing our first note, to playing Star Wars at the assembly. We have also all been to tour and festival together which makes have a much closer bond than some other classes. The top thing I learned in band was how to work together. Some might have the melody, so if my section doesn’t have it, I need to play quieter so the melody can be heard. If my section has the melody, I need to play out so that it can be heard over the other parts. Another thing that we do to work together is that we need to be in tune with each other. If we are not in tune, then the notes will clash with each other and it won’t sound good. Something I’ll miss about this class is getting to play with all of my peers. Next year, some people aren’t going to do band, including me. However, I am going to try to do jazz band if I can. When we go to Columbia next year, some people are not going to be in the same class as everyone else because there are two bands and not everyone will be in the same one. I’m going to miss playing at concerts with everyone that is in band this year.

Period 5 - Language Arts - Fingarson

My favorite thing about this class is how much fun we have while learning. We always do fun projects like the teaching task, the memes, and the movie poster that we are working on right now. Ms. Fingarson tries to make her finals fun by making two parts. One is the vocab final, and the other is a fun activity like making memes or making a movie poster about something in my 7th grade year. Even when we do something boring like reviewing our vocab, Ms. Fingarson makes it fun by letting us use either one of the cats, or Jacob to catch when it’s our turn. Also, when we had discussions about The Giver, Kyle would always say something like a theory of where the community was located, like Beijing. Then, Gabby would tell Kyle why he was wrong and it always made people in the class laugh because Gabby would always “attack” Kyle’s theories in The Giver. The top thing I learned in this class was to elaborate more on my ideas. When we did our first reflection in this class, I just wrote the minimun that I could write to get an okay grade on it. As the year went by, Ms. Fingarson had us do an activity where we would trade our reflection with a partner, and they would write down any questions that they had about my reflections. When I got it back, I realized that I needed to start adding more detail and on many of my assignments, I try to elaborate more so there aren’t as many questions. Something I will miss about this class is Ms. Fingarson and all of my peers. Everyone cares for each other, and everyone always helps each other out someone needs help. We always have our funny moments, but we always get back on track to what we were learning.

Period 6 - Math - Harlow

My favorite thing about this class are all of my friends. When the year started, we didn’t know each other that well but we quickly became great friends. We act more like a family now, and we even set up a group chat so that all of us could communicate with each other outside of school as well. We started the “Harhigh Squad” and it includes Kianna Bolante, Chloe Forberg Levine, Lilybeth Esau, Emma Hart, Hoeun Son, and I. The top thing I learned in this class is friendship. We didn’t know each other very well until we were doing problems out of a math book, and Kianna and I were working together. Hoeun and Lilybeth were working together so when Kianna and I would get two separate answers, we would ask them what they got to see who was correct. Chloe and Emma started talking us and not much later, we all became great friends and we always work together on assignments and worksheets. Something I will miss is having everyone in the same class. We became such great friends in this one class, and we are all moving to Algebra next year, but we might be in different class periods next year so we might not get to see each other during math.

Period 7 - Reading - Oshiro

My favorite thing about this class is that we have a lot of fun, while still learning things at the same time. Ms. Oshiro would always talk about her pandas at the beginning of the period, and then we would get back on track to what we were doing. The top thing I learned in this class is how much Ms. Oshiro loves her pandas. Once when someone asked where Penelope was, Ms. Oshiro said that she didn’t know. After looking all around the classroom, No one could find her. Ms. Oshiro decided that we could make a missing poster for Penelope so that if someone took her, Ms. Oshiro might get her back. After spending about 20 minutes making the poster, we were finally finished. Erin looked under Ms. Oshiro’s table that she has the projector on, and Erin said that she found Penelope and she held her up. Them, we all realized that we spend 20 minutes making a missing poster for a panda that was found. Something that I will miss about this class Ms. Oshiro because she always talks about her pandas and she tells many jokes in our class that many of us relate to.

WSH - Mr. Stevens

Science - Mr. Holdener

TA - Mr. Stevens

Band - Mr. Miles

LA - Ms. Fingarson

Reading - Ms. Oshiro

Math - Mr. Harlow

Period One (WSH): My favorite thing about Washington state history was our in-depth (and sometimes off topic) conversations. Almost every day our class managed to get off-topic. Even though we weren’t talking about the assigned topic, we would always get into really deep conversations. Mr. Stevens even encouraged this by adding onto our opinions and thoughts. He also would counter our arguments sometimes! Overall, it was super fun to be able to have a class debate almost every day, especially if the debate wasn’t planned. The top thing I learned in this class was that getting off-topic is fun, but it is not the best choice. Although I thought that getting off topic was fun, it proved to be very detrimental. Because we often spent whole periods talking about random stuff, we fell behind. We were so behind that we didn’t get to do nearly as many fun projects as other classes did. However, I do that think talking about Walmart for an entire period is a little easier than doing an assignment! The thing I will miss the most about this class is that I can get away with chewing gum in it. I never chew gum in my other classes because I know I will get yelled at or even worse get a think time. But in Mr. Stevens, I didn’t get in any trouble at all. Even though he made me spit my gum out almost every day, about halfway through the period, I still never got in trouble. It was fun to have at least one class where I could get away with breaking the rules!

Period Two (Science): My favorite thing about science was all the fun labs we did. Mr. Holdener was very generous and often bought special supplies/food for us so that we could do really creative labs. For instance, one time he got graham crackers and frosting for a plate tectonics lab. We go to break the graham crackers to demonstrate the earth shifting and dividing. Another fun lab we did was the oreo moon phases lab. For this lab, we used the cookie part of the oreo to demonstrate the dark portion of the moon and the frosting to represent the illuminated section. While in science, I learned the most about the planets in our solar system. Even though I’m a pretty solid student, I’ve always struggled with science. I always got good grades in it, but I never really understood anything, I just took notes and that was it. But during this year of science, I tried to pay more attention to the activities. During our unit about the planets, I was really paying attention. I learned all sorts of things such as the order of the planets, the characteristics of each planet, and why the planets all orbit around the sun. This information sounds basic to most people, but for me, I was really proud that I could remember that much about something I usually didn’t pay much attention too. Something I’ll miss about science is the games we played. Whenever we were taking a lot of notes or in the middle SBA, Mr. Holdener would give us a break and let us play some games. He always found really cool and unique games for us to try out. It was really refreshing to be able to just relax once in awhile and play games.

Period Three (TA): My favorite thing about being a TA was that I could almost do whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. Instead of having additional homework from a class like tech or choir, being a TA was stress free. I never had any homework or overwhelming projects. Besides grading a few papers here and there, I didn’t really do much. It was nice to have one period to myself where I didn’t have to pay attention or work hard. I also got to design a lot of things or make sample art projects. I even got to decorate his bulletin board which was super fun! The top thing I learned while being a TA was how to carry a lot of things at once. As a TA, a lot of my work involved copying papers or delivering things to other teachers. Since I was doing this almost everyday, I became quite the expert at carrying 10 or so things at once! Something I’ll miss about being a TA is getting an extra class to do whatever I want. As mentioned before, I really enjoyed having a free period for myself. When I go to Columbia, I won’t have a TA class. This is something that I will most likely really wish I had once I get to Columbia since I will probably have more homework.

Period Four (Concert Band): My favorite thing about band is how we were constantly improving. At the start of 6th grade, most of us knew nothing about how to play an instrument. We were incredibly out of tune and we could barely get any notes out. About 10 times a day we would have to stop in the middle of our music and fix our mistakes. As time went on, we got progressively better. We all tried a lot harder than we did in 6th grade and our hard work payed off. We even played a song meant for an orchestra at our most recent concert as well as the theme to Star Wars which was also really difficult. The top thing that I learned from band was that practice pays off. Since we were the top band, our class was really competitive. I really wanted to be first chair, so after practicing for about 30 minutes each day, I got what I wanted. Because our concert songs were very challenging, practicing them was a really high priority for me. In the end, our concert sounded amazing, due to all of our hard work/practicing. Something that I’ll miss is Mr. Miles’ sense of humor. On most occasions, he can make the whole class burst out in laughter because of his clumsiness or just the things he says. He always tells us stories about his puppy and those are really funny too! Most of them involve him getting woken up early because of her or her ruining another piece of furniture!

Period Five (LA): My favorite part of Language arts was everything. Language arts was my favorite class, and I couldn’t bear to just choose one thing. However, one of the main things I enjoyed was the projects we did. Unlike the standard projects I did in many of my other classes, you always seeme to come up with a new kind of assignment. I especially enjoyed the Giver book project. It was really fun to find pictures for each chapter, come up with your own chapter titles, and design a book. Out of my 7 years of being in school, I have never seen any teacher do a project like that! I also really enjoyed the last 12 minute teacher activity. After being in school for over 170 days so far, it was nice to wind down and do a more flexible entry task. I liked how you could choose any topic to teach the class about. I thought this was really unique and I have learned a lot from the people who have presented so far. The top thing I learned from Language Arts was how to be creative. Before I was in this class, I was not a very creative student. Unlike others, art had never really been my thing. However, since we did many creative projects in this class, my creativity grew as the year progressed. Every new project we did, my work began to become more unique and out of the box. The thing I will miss most about Language arts is Ms. Fingarson. She is the best teacher I have ever had and I will miss her greatly when I go to CJH. I have never had a teacher who was like her in all my years of schooling. Ms. Fingarson was incredibly energetic and funny yet she still managed to keep the class on task everyday. All of her assignments were creative and they were always engaging. She put in so much effort into every single lesson. She taught me so much and I have learned the most from her than any other teacher!

Period Six (Reading): My favorite thing about reading was all the people in the class and the memories we made. It was an extremely interesting experience, because there were multiple personality types. There were tons of really confident and loud kids, but at the same time there were a lot of quieter kids. There were also really creative kids as well as humorous students. This created a very diverse learning environment that was interesting to work in. I also had a lot of friends in that class, so I could look forward to talking to them. The top thing I learned in reading was how to present better. Over the year, we did many different speeches and presentations. As we did thee, Ms. Oshiro taught us presentation tricks and cheat. At the beginning of the year, I used to not make eye contact and talk way too fast. Now, I don’t do either of these and I am much more comfortable talking in front of people and presenting in general. The thing I will miss the most about reading is all the pandas. It was super fun to go to class everyday and work next to a stuffed-animal. It was super fun to act like a first grader and play with stuffed animals in one of my classes!

Period Seven (Math): My favorite thing about math was how Mr. Harlow ran the classroom. He was so chill and barely raised his voice, yet everyone listened to him and we usually remained pretty well-behaved. I also enjoyed his homework policy. Any work that was due, wasn’t due till the end of the period. There were many days when I just had too much homework so I didn't do math homework. However, I had the entire class period the next day to finish any remaining homework. If it hadn't been for this rule, I might of had a C in his class instead of an A! The top thing I learned from math was what an adult’s life is like. I learned this during the life project. The life project taught us how to pay bills, manage a checkbook, and buy houses/cars. I thought that this was an extremely beneficial unit because knowing how to pay bills is an important part to having a successful life when we're older. The same can be said for learning how to buy a house and/or car. The thing I will miss the most about math is the people in the class. I was really lucky, and many of my close friends were in that class. It was super fun to always get to work with the people you want and sit by them too. There are usually not that many times that I have gotten in a class with 4 or 5 of my close friends.

Period 1- Holdener
My favorite thing was how much fun we had while we learned . I really liked the way he teaches and the assignments he gave. The top thing i learned, the number 1, thing i learned was the guns and roses thing it amazes me so much... i'm just kidding it was space. Space is the top thing i learned because it is so crazy how everything seems to go on forever. Also how there are planet just like earth in different solar systems. Something i will miss is Mr.Holdener he is one of my favorite teachers.

Period 2-Oshiros

My favorite thing about this class was the pandas. My favorite thing was the pandas because they were really funny and me Kaleb and Christian always put the arms, legs, and head inside out and they would be inside of the panda and we did it with Gerald so he looked like a a jelly bean. The top thing i learned was that you neeeeeed to get your assignments on time or they dont get credit. Somthing i will miss is the fun we had the class was always lit and was super fun.

Period 3- Tiegs

My favorite thing about this class is that we get to talk alot. I like to talk everyone knows that. The top thing i learned was that mr. tiegs is really really really sarcastic an he embraces it and he uses it against everything and everybody and i think it is super duper funny. Something ill miss is the amazing class it is an interesting class, and another thing i will miss is that im able to talk the whole period but still learn.

Period 4-ta ross

My favorite thing is the donuts friday mmmm they are sooo good. Also that i just get to help out and i got to know some of the 6th graders better. The top thing i learned was that helping others makes you feel better. Something ill miss is the donut very friday.

Period5 Fingarson

my favorite of all. my favorite thing about this class is the class ns. fingarson made writing fun for me and want to do it more and take it seriously. Something i learned was that ms.fingarson is g.t.o.a.t (greatest teacher of all time). I also learned that writing is a fun topic and worth doing. Something i am going to miss is ms.fingarson i know i could have her in highschool... pleaaaaaase but that is to far away.

period 6 baxter

my favortie thing about this class was my friends. My friends made this class really fun and encouraged me to do my work. Something i learned is how to draw a realistic face. It is really tough but i know how to do it now. Something i will miss is doing art.

period 7 harlow

my favorite thing in this class is the projects they are super fun and challenging. the top thing i learned was Pythagorean theoryom. something i will miss that i get to talk alot and that the class is lit and we have alot of free time to do our work in class.

Per1 reading Oshiro:
My favorite part of that class is how upbeat the class always seems. We are almost always joking around while still staying on task. I think the main thing that I'm gonna miss from that class is Ms. Oshiro. Ms. Oshiro is a really funny and great teacher and its really sad that next year seventh graders don't get get to have her.
Per 2 PE:
I really like this class because its a lot of fun. even if we do a lot of the fitness tests really often the in-between phases are still really fun. I'm gonna miss both Mr. Darnille and Mrs. Arndt because they are both great teachers that really push us to be our best selves. Additionally I'm gonna miss when Mr. Darnille makes people stand up for no reason and says really weird things.
Per 3 Tech 2
I like getting to program robots because its really fun. even though programming in tech can get a little frustrating its still a fun class. I am gonna miss having a class with all my friends because after we finish our work we all talk so its gonna suck not having a class with a lot of friends.
Per 4 Boyd Science:
My favorite part of the class is really doing a lot of science things. I love science in general because its so interesting and fun to learn about. I am gonna miss the labs because Mrs. Boyb took topics that wouldn't necessarily be super fun and made the labs fun and enjoyable.
Per 5 Fingarson
My favorite part of my class is that we all have a good time and Ms. Fingarson puts lots of effort into thinking up fun and creative ways for us to learn. I am gonna miss the teaching tasks because the most recent ones we did were really fun and engaging.

Per 6 Math 3 Harlow
My favorite part of that class is that Mr. Harlow is really laid back and lets us talk and work together. i also like that he gives us time to finish the work in class. I am gonna miss the people in my class because I'm friends with a lot of the people in the class.
Per 7 WSH Jobe
My favorite part of the class is that lots of people joke around. Every now ant then Mr. Jobe gets annoyed but usually he laughs along with us. I think the biggest thing I'm gonna miss from that class is Mr. Jobe because he is a really chill teacher.

Period 1 ~ Stevens, WSH

My favorite thing about WSH is all the really in-depth debates and conversations we have. It's really interesting to see what everybody thinks about a certain topic. Since we have so many thorough conversations it helps make a good start to the day. The top thing I learned is to expect the unexpected. In our class, things don't always go as planned. What I will miss most about this class is all the great students. The majority of the students in this class were the same students in my core class last year. It was great to be surrounded by people I already know. Even some of the new students in that class, I became great friends with as well.

Period 2- Arndt, PE

My favorite thing about this class is that it is always exciting to know what we are going to do each day. Some days you would do a different activity, other days we would do something else. You never really know what happens in that class until you enter the gym. The top thing I learned is that things are never just handed to you. You have to work for what want, you have to be able to push yourself to succeed. I will miss all the excitement the most. We would do some really fun activities in that class. As well as all the laughs that are shared around from time to time.

Period 3- Boyd, Science

My favorite thing about that class is how we always manage to do what we need to do. We always have so much to do in class each day and we always get it done while still having an effective lesson that teaches us a lot. The top thing I learned is that everything can be useful. Ms. Boyd can come up with some of the most creative lessons from something as small as bird seeds. The thing I will miss most about the class is her joke of the day. Those jokes always seemed to lessen any tension in the class start the period on a good note.

Period 4- Harlow, TA

My favorite thing was being able to practice a lot skills that will help me in the future. I had to organize and gather a lot of things as a TA and I know being able to do that will help me with future jobs or living on my own. My favorite thing I learned was that you make your own ambitions. Since Mr. Harlow was gone every once in a while because he has a newborn, there were quite a few substitutes. They never really had any jobs for me to do, so I made my own and started organizing papers, cabinets, etc. What I will miss most about that class is how I never get stressed during this period. I never feel tense in this class, and its always good to have time to not be feeling stressed.

Period 5- Fingarson, Language Arts

I really like how this class is always moving on to one thing to the next. There is always something we need to do whether that be teaching tasks or vocabulary practice, we always have something on the agenda. There is never a time to hesitate, which I really enjoy. My favorite thing I learned is to not be afraid to do something out of your comfort zone. In our reflections we talk about the things we need to work on, that we're not entirely comfortable with, but in this class we learn that that can always be improved if we work for it. I know a lot of people in this class have grown tremendously throughout the year, and it's always great to see that. What I will miss most about this class is that we always have a chance to show what we can do as students. We have a lot of projects where you would have to be creative such as The Giver project and we would have the opportunity to go above and beyond. Ms. Fingarson gives us assignments where we can really take in our own direction.

Period 6- Harlow, Math

What I like most about math is how he gives us dependable notes. They are all what we need in order to understand our homework. My favorite thing I learned in this class is that it's really up to you on how you spend your time. You can spend it goofing around or you can utilize your time and finish your homework early. What I will miss most is all my friends in that class. Some of my closest friends are in that class, and we always manage to have a great time each day.

Period 7- Oshiro, Reading

My favorite thing about reading is how Ms. Oshiro is really understanding. She understands that not everything goes as planned, but still make the best of it. Ms. Oshiro always gives off this positive energy that makes the day end on a good note. The top thing I learned is to always make the best of things. Whenever something unexpected happens, there is always a way to make it better. What I will miss most about this class is all the stories we share. I enjoy learning about new things about people and how I can connect to them. Sometimes I hear some of the most interesting stories in that class.

Period 1: Social Studies - Mr.Stevens

Period 2: TA - Mrs.Arndt

Period 3: Science - Mrs.Boyd

Period 4: Math - Mr.Harlow

Period 5: Language Arts - Mrs.Fingarson

Period 6: Art - Mr.Harlow

Period 7: Reading - Mrs.Oshiro

Period 1: Social Studies - Mr.Stevens

My favorite things about this class was how in depth Mr.Stevens let us go with our discussions in class. We often start with a small topic or a question, and later everyone is soon elaborating off each other's ideas. Whether it was about economics, pollution, or why Home Alone 2 was such a terrible movie, we discussed it. The top thing that I learned is that we’re all greedy consumers and America is hogging all of the supplies of the world. Mr.Stevens often brought up how people in America use over 60% of the world’s supplies, while the richest 1% own a large portion of the total money in the world. I found out all these facts about consumption and how people in America use way too many supplies, especially kids like us. What I’m going to miss about that class were my classmates. All of my peers from my last core class were in my class this year for WSH, so all around me were familiar faces. It was very helpful when I needed to find a partner in WSH or just wanted to work or talk with someone during free work time. I found myself compatible with a lot of the students in that class.

Period 2: TA - Mrs.Arndt

My favorite thing about this period was how it made me feel needed. When Mrs.Arndt gave me work, I felt as though I was important because she could rely on me to help her out in the hectic workplace. Finishing work that she gave me a feeling of accomplishment that I got some weight off of Mrs.Arndt’s shoulders and she could relax more.

The top thing that I learned in that period is how to manage my time better. If Mrs.Arndt gave me multiple things to do and I focused too much on one job, I wouldn’t be able to get the other one done within the period. She also told me very wise words during my duty helping her.

What I’m going to miss about that period is Mrs. Arndt. She was always encouraging to me and giving me useful advice. I always took her wisdom to heart and they always worked for me. I’m glad I got to be her TA as I was able to spend more time with her since she stopped being a ELA teacher.

Period 3: Science - Mrs.Boyd

My favorite thing about science was everything. Learning about science was so interesting to me, especially learning about the galaxy and planets. I found it so fascinating how small we were compared to everything else in the universe, and how the chance of extra-terrestrials existing aren’t as small as we think there are. From the lessons I learned that I want to go to the sun when I grow up. Mrs.Boyd was also very organized and collected, and put in grades for everything almost immediately. The top thing that I learned in that class was how you can apply everything you learned to real life. Like in the bird beak lab that we did, I can use the knowledge that I gained from that to figure out how in real life, only the smartest and strongest animals are able to survive through the generations. Something that I’ll miss about science are Mrs.Boyd’s jokes. Everyday at the beginning of class she would tell a joke or a pun, and it really lifted the mood, whether there was a test that day or it was a Monday. He enthusiastic jokes never failed to cheer me up.

Period 4: Math - Mr.Harlow

My favorite thing about math was how Mr.Harlow handled everything. In his class he let us go free after teaching us something, as he wanted us to handle things how we would do it, instead of forcing his methods on us. The main thing that I learned in that class was how to be independent. Mr.Harlow let us take things in our own direction, and had us be on our own (In a good way). He didn’t remind us when to turn in homework, as he wanted us to be able to remember on our own when it was due. I created a lot of good habits in that class. What I will miss about math will be the consistency of the homework. I could always expect some homework to do from math, and not be trying my best to remember if I had a worksheet or not. The worksheets also were on topic, and I was always given time in class to try my best and finish.

Period 5: Language Arts - Mrs.Fingarson

My favorite thing from this period were the projects. We always got so much freedom as to which direction we could go in with them, and you always wanted us to go beyond and far with our projects. You wanted creativity and effort from us, and gave a lot of room to have creativity.

The biggest thing that I learned from this class is how I should always try my best on projects, because it will really show on your work. Mrs.Fingarson always closely looked at our projects and made sure that we put in our all on our work. What I’m going to miss is Mrs.Fingarson. She was always encouraging towards me and made very good jokes. Mrs.Fingarson had very interactive lessons that she made and they were very fun. She answered my questions with unusual but helpful answers, and I’m truly grateful that I had her as my teacher this year.

Period 6: Art - Mrs. Baxter

My favorite thing about this class was the project were we had to create a mandala. I had a very unique designed planned out for my project, and I took it to action and I liked how it turned out, also with it’s soft colors. What I learned from that class were the art elements. At first I didn’t know that art had components to it, and I thought that it was just drawing, but there was so much more that I discovered in that class. What I’ll miss in this period were the students. I was close to a lot of them, and I’ve had many fond memories with them that I’ll like to look back on and smile on,

Period 7: Reading Ms. Oshiro

My favorite thing I liked about this class is how creative her lessons are. Our final today was based on Super Mario, which I think is really creative. My favorite thing I learned is how everything we do has a purpose. All the writing we do prepares us for future tests. What I will miss most about this class is how we so imaginative and creative. We gave each of the little pandas their own personalities and always had fun in this class. This class this year overall has been unforgettable.

1st-P.E.: One of my favorite things about P.E. is that you always get to participate in everything, nobody is ever left out and everyone just gets to have fun. Something else i'm going to miss is how funny the teachers are, they always try and make the best out of any situation and can make anyone smile. My peers also tried to make the class fun and engaging for everyone. Something that i’ve learned and really took to heart was that if you don’t try your best you're wasting time on yourself. And this is something that could be used in any situation not just P.E., i know for a fact that i'm definitely going to miss how close we all are and how each one of us can make each other smile.

2nd-WSH, Tiegs: My favorite thing about WSH is that in that class we have that one group of people who are generally outgoing and weird. We would always joke around and mess with one another. Then we would have to listen to Mr.Tiegs and his corny jokes. Something that i've learned about that class is that you can make something so simple, but yet put in so much effort and quality. Something i'm going to miss about that class is how weird everyone is and how we all get along.

3rd-Math Harlow: My favorite thing about that class is that we can always get help if we need it. Sometimes people are scared to ask for help and then they don't ask because they aren’t comfortable with the teacher. But Mr.Harlow makes it easy to talk to him and makes the activity understanding. Something i learned in that class is that if you don’t do anything you won’t be anything. That things don’t magically appear and you have to work for them. Something about that class that i'm going to miss is how he does let you have a certain amount of freedom, but only to the point where he still has authority.

4th-Band Miles: My favorite thing about this class is that nobody is going to judge you on how well you play and they won’t make fun of you for it. Another thing is how we don't ever take things so serious and we are always prompt on having fun. But we have a good mix of having fun and making jokes, and focusing and doing work. Something i learned about that class is that practice takes time, but it can make you better at what you do. Something i'm going to miss about that class is how random Mr.Miles is and how he can make anyone laugh with only one sentence.

5th-ELA Fingarson: My favorite thing about your class is how you always want us to do our best and you are willing to help and prepare us for anything that we need. You always push us to be our best and you make the class fun. Something i learned in this class is that if you always work hard you earn more knowledge every day. Something i'm going to miss about this class is that we are all willing to work hard and we can still be able to have fun with each other and be goofy.

6th-Reading Oshiro: My favorite thing about reading is how Ms.Oshiro takes all the time and effort she can to make us engaged and make our schoolwork a lot of fun. She works really hard in how much effort she puts into her work. Something i learned about in this class is that sometimes you can be able to mix school work and fun time, without getting off task. Something i'm going to miss about that class is how random everyone is and how we all get along with one another.

7th-Science Holdener: My favorite thing about that class is how Mr. Holdener is always trying to make everyone laugh and have a good time. He wants us to be the best we possibly can. Something i learned in that class is that you can take what you have learned, and apply it to the real world. Something i'm going to miss is how he really tries to connect with us as students and he wants us to have the best experience we can possibly have.

Pd.1- Science/Boyd
Pd.2- P.E./Arndt
Pd.3- Math/Harlow
Pd.4- Reading/Oshiro
Pd.5- L.A./Ms. Fingarson
Pd.6- Art/Baxter
Pd.7- WSH/Jobe

PD.1- My favorite thing in Mrs. Boyd's class is the way her energy inspires me. She has such an enthusiastic attitude and it go straight to me. I feel that I am a sponge and I suck up her happiness. The thing that I learned this year that has stuck with me was, the rocks. How the bombs are made from a mineral that makes them so disastrous. I love minerals and nuclear bombs and bomber jets. I am really going to miss the productivity that Mrs. Boyd and I had. I know that I may not be the best student ever but I know that I worked fast and efficient in that class. I am going to miss the fun and craziness of her labs. They were unique and yummy!
PD.2- My favorite thing in Mrs. Arndt's class was the competitiveness. I always love playing against the boys in our class. The girls don't really know how to play some sports, but the boys are pros. I like playing against them and winning. :) What I loved learning this year was actually doing Relay Races. I am a very fast runner and I love running out of energy really fast because I am so fast. The wind tangles my hair and beats a my face. Another thing I love about P.E. was doing the plank. We did that only last semester but I already miss it. I guess I loved it because I was the "Plank Queen," as the other kids called me, this is because I always got higher than everybody. I went up to 8 minutes on my last time. What I am going to miss is our class with so few girls and over have the class boys. only one third of the class is girls. The competitiveness is all around me in the boys faces, I love tough challenges.
PD.3- My favorite thing in math was the Life Project. It was really fun on how you could marry someone, and have to pay bills and what not. Something important that I learned from this class was, more math! I learned things like, from decimals to geometry. Something that I will definitely miss form this class is, the loudness of the other kids, because, in math class, you almost HAVE to talk!
PD.4 M favorite thing in Ms. Oshiro's class was the table group she put me in, it was terrible how it all kept working out. There was me, Jaheim C., Vita, and of course, Michael A. The boys would always argue while me and Vita would do all the work. We always somehow managed to get everyone else a good grade. What I learned was, Ms. Oshiro either loves giving us homework, or she loves grading paper. She always gives us assignment after assignment. I'm not complaining, I already know that there is a lot to learn in reading class. What I am going to miss in her class is the smallness of the number of students. There are only 17 in all.
PD.5- Ahh, what my favorite thing in this class is, all of the creativity! We had to design books, write members, and all kinds of crazy things! What I learned most about was how to write a good hook. I used to have trouble remembering TWO types of hooks but I learned them all. I also learned about how to write an almost perfect argument essay and letter. What I am going to miss most about this class is the handwork in it.
PD.6- My favorite thing in Mrs. Baxter's class is, the making of art! I am an artsy person and I love to draw, color, paint, sing and all other things that an artist does. I know I may not be the best at art, but I have a passion about it. What I learned was, how to do a HAIKU. They were my favorite things to do the year! I am going to miss my teacher and her wonderful ideas and experience.
PD.7- My favorite thing in Mr. Jobe's class is him. Mr. Jobe is really chill, though by the time he gets to our class, he is exhausted, though our class still does have all of the trouble-makers in it. Mr. Jobe still is nice though grumpy, and he prepares us well. he makes sure we do our work and that we are quiet. What I learned most about was D.B Cooper. Never heard of him? He was our Washington State History Fair Topic. Anyway, what I am going to miss the most about his class is the funnies in the classroom, they make everyone laugh and they always have a joke up there sleeves, and sometimes literally.

First Period: Mr. Stevens

Second period: Mrs. Boyd

Third Period: Mrs. Arndt

Fourth Period: Mr. Miles

Fifth Period: Mrs. Fingarson

Sixth Period: Mr. Harlow

Seventh Period: Ms. Oshiro

My favorite thing about Mr. Steven’s first period class is the time it wastes. We waste large amounts of time through debates and discussions. This usually happens when Mr. Stevens says something controversial, Gabby responds with an idea or answer that is also controversial. Causing the whole entire class to erupt into a large argument that causes absolutely no work to get done and for us to waste the whole class period. The best thing that I learned in that class is economics. These economics taught us how the world works and could help us in the future if I become a business owner. I will miss the classes fun projects we did throughout the year.

My favorite thing about Mrs. Boyd’s second period class is the joke of the day. Sometimes it is funny, sometimes it isn’t, the suspense doesn’t kill me at all. This class is usually boring but on rare occasions, there is a good joke. The best thing I learned in this class was about aesexual reproduction. The idea of an organism creating another organism without anything else surprised me. I will definitely miss the jokes Mrs. Boyd has told and the experiences the class has shared.

In Mrs. Arndts class I am the TA, I do most of the laundry work, I create most of the slideshows, and I move most of the equipment to prepare for the lesson. My favorite part of this class is making the slideshows. Sometimes I just spend the whole class period working on the slideshow. There isn’t much I can learn as a TA, so I cannot remember anything I have learned in this class. I will miss the free time I have enjoyed throughout the class.

In band I enjoy playing the tuba, my favorite part of the class is Mr. Miles’ constant cheery attitude, sometimes he somehow makes most of the class laugh with the way he acts and it puts everyone in a lighter mood. In this class I have learned, most importantly, how to play the tuba. I believe it will support me and help me get into college if I continue my career with it. I am going to miss the band tours and concerts the most, I felt as if they were actually more fun than you would think.

In Mrs. Fingarson’s class, there is always something interesting to do, whether it be toss Jacob around or do DWP, Mrs. Fingarson is constantly challenging our skill level. Even though many of the subjects we learned this year were the same as last year, I still feel as if we were challenged and we learned a lot of info. For example, I learned how to make a tongue twister with alliteration. She sells sea shell by the seashore. I will definitely miss this class's functionality and good behavior.

In Mr. Harlow’s class we do a lot of work, most which homework. My favorite part about the class is the friends I have inside of it. I don’t have many classes with my friends so it is fun to be able to talk with them in a class where we have free time. In this class, I have learned how to determine the equalities and abnormalities of unlike integers. I definitely will miss how much free time we get in this class and the group of classmates that I had.

I love Ms. Oshiro’s class because of all the inside jokes we have. In her class so far this year we have been able to establish inside jokes such as, The Jonas Brothers, For the Love Of Milk, and Evil Gerald. In this class, I learned how a teacher can combine one thing that students like, with another thing that students do not like, to potentially make learning fun (ex. Mystery House, Mario & Luigi Final). I will definitely miss Gerald, my favorite panda, who has been related to several incidents involving flying pandas.

Period 1
My favorite thing about reading for Oshiro was the family feeling of the classroom it makes you feel like your smart snd important and I like that about the class. One thing I learned was is reading stratigies, it really helps when reading because it helps you fully understand the story and let's your figure out the meaning and message of the story.

Period 2
My favorite about pe is all the fun games we play because I like sports so pe is really fun for me. One thing I learned in pe is the proper way to fuel my body and the proper way to fully warm up your body also that improving your scores is the only thing that will raise your grade.

Period 3
My favorite thing about math in Harlow is that he just lets us socialize and have fun while we do our work and he trusts us. One thing I learned in this class was how to get my work done in a small amount of time because he would make us finish our work in class.

Period 4
My favorite thing about science for Boyd is how much fun we have in that class and all the food labs. Also we learn alot of stuff while we have fun. One thing I learned in this class is that science is pretty cool and I really like it.

Period 5
My favorite thing about fingarson is the wacky ness and just the fun environment in the class room, we also learn so many things for the real world that can help us. One thing I learned is that to never give up even though You think you have no chance don't give up.

Period 6
My favorite part about waldman TA is that all the sixth grade kids look up to me so I can set good examples and be a leader for the class. One thing I learned is that I don't want to be a teacher because it seems tough and the kids would annoy me.

Period 7
My favorite thing about jobe is how much relaxed class he has it is so fun and relaxing and we still get lots of stuff done, I'm going to miss the environment of the class next year. One thing I learned is that 11 year old kids back in the day would get married and have kids at 15.
