Sometimes it’s hard to write enough to fill 500 words, like I say everything I can or can think of and then I’m short a couple hundred words. It’s also hard to think of how to talk about what I want to say, I think of either too much or too little and then I get stuck.

"The Case Against Grades" and its ideas of how grading can hurt or alienate students was very relatable to me. I've always disliked letter and percent grading systems, especially because it made learning feel very competitive.

The fact that schools have been using the same teaching and grading methods for so long without it ever changing, even when there's evidence that students aren't truly learning and retaining the information the way schools think they are. Also the fact that it can be really demotivating for many.
