I love my hometown, Pomabamba, a beautiful province located in Áncash. It is about 8 hours from the city of Huaraz, the capital of the region. It’s a peaceful place, surrounded by nature, with kind people and unique landscapes. In the center, there are a few small shops and a lovely plaza where people gather to chat and enjoy their time. In Pomabamba, there are traditional markets where you can buy fresh food, local products, and everything needed for daily life. There’s no cinema, but there are plenty of mototaxis and colectivos, so getting around is easy.
