Federal: According to federal laws, the distribution of marijuana is a federal offense under the Controlled Substances Act. They perceive this drug to have no medical value and a high potential of abuse. However, the federal government has allowed states to address marijuana issues and challenge the state at any time if necessary. Marijuana businesses can only fiction as a cash only enterprise and can't file tax deductions.

State: Despite the federal government stand point, they favor the legalization of marijuana. Former President Obama approve the use of this drug as long as the state abide certain criteria. Making it legal for the distribution of medical marijuana for sicknesses and diseases.

I personally favor the federal government point of view. Being that, "the federal government classifies marijuana as a schedule 1 drug, meaning it's perceived to have no medical value and a high potential for abuse." -Vox news. Although marijuana controls the duration of diseases, this gives people the advantage to retrieve this drug more easily. People can easily gain access to these drug by faking certain illnesses or if they are already diagnosed; they are rightfully entitled to drug for their own potential gain. Let be realistic, who really use marijuana for medical benefit? Were familiar with personal businesses of people selling and/or smuggling drugs to achieve drug deals and to generate profit. Abusers buy and use drugs receive a "high" feeling.
