O level is equivalent to the Pakistani SSC/Matriculation. If you are studying O levels in Pakistan, then you need a total of eight subjects including: English, Urdu, Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, and Maths as compulsory subjects. The remaining three subjects are elective.Where as Matriculation is a local (Secondary School Completion) that is issued of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

The Matric system is low if compared to Cambridge but every system and everything that rises has seen fall, so is with this system. The education in Cambridge has been very helpful in developing critical thinking criteria. The metric has become worse over the time a little effort and proper management can also make it able to surpass the Cambridge system. The books and data in O-levels is updated on a period of 5 years, making the available knowledge more efficient and the conceptual study at upper hand. The Cambridge university and Oxford University are currently working on a new system that will be more focused on training and personal development in the subjects, such of the pilot project was held privately in the Cambridge University where student of age 10 were given practical and training based education, by the end when test results came, the students were able to score more than the currently 14-16 aged students appearing in O-levels. The system is set to be in work and will soon be in market. The metric system can be developed to that level, what it requires is advanced research and proper manner of implementing them.

it depends on the child from early age what education sysytem he has gone through it all depends on adaptibility of a child how much he has got himself immersed in his education system but i think for future generation children o level sysytem should be encouraged rather than following the old textbook style matric book
