I am King James I. I was the first Puritan King of England and I took over from the great Queen Elizabeth. I was the first King to translate the Bible into English and we called it The King James Bible. I was honored to be the King that founded the most prominent settlements in the newly acquired lands of America and named it Jamestown.

With the divinity of God I was selected to hold the title of King. However, the Parliament tends to reject my decisions. To make them obey I have dissolved our governing body, even without their permission. To keep them in line I have formed my armed forces known as Royalists and Cavaliers.

Oliver Cromwell [1645-1658]

I am known as the Lord Protector from my success in the Civil War against the prior ruler, Charles I. The monarchy will reign no more under my ruling but instead be replaced with Commonwealth. I am a Puritan Army General and will conquer Ireland and Scotland to prove England's dominance and aim to purify our people through the church.

I now reign over England after being exiled to France by that crude Oliver Cromwell. I will not stand for the Commonwealth and have restored the Monarchy. Oliver Cromwell has wounded this nation but with my power I shall implement a policy of religious tolerance to the Declaration of Indulgence and encourage the art and sciences.

No matter the protest I face, I rule as a Catholic king and follow after the kingship of my brother Charles II. A revolution has commenced but I fight to keep in power. Unfortunately, it seems as if the people are winning. No matter, I have founded the start of the English Bill of Rights and believe that the monarchy should be restrained.

William & Mary [1688-1702]
