Clean water stations

Class rooms need better furniture, desks, chairs

Cafeteria/multipurpose room needs remodeling

Better communication system, sometimes when picking up kids we can’t hear intercom

-be stern for pick up/drop off line a lot of people park in the line & get out of their cars & sit to socialize !

-cars block the bus area which than the bus blocks the road! put cones or have a staff member monitor that area until the bus arrives!

-no cameras are currently on campus which they are needed & i see staff walk through gates unlocked way before school is dismissed which means the gates are NOT locked at all times so better safety would be nice it’s 2023!

-if kids have incidents report it to the parents right away there have been several occasions my child develops a bloody nose & im not contacted or made aware !

-CAMPUS SECURITY or ONSITE OFFICER a lot of parents that come here are very unpleasant & when asked to follow rules set for the sake of our kids they disregard the staff & act very nasty with no respect or care for others!

-field trips & assemblies need to be brought back!

Incorporate culinary skills with on campus employment in the kitchens of DVHS. Add a food handler certification to the curriculum. Fund and create a Food Service Advisory panel to prepare and create school food service menus.

Construct a dish washing scullery. Students are served food on plates and cups, not paper products.

Bathrooms at the school need to be fixed and updated. Student desks need to be replaced as well as outdated classroom furniture.

Paint the pillars the school colors.

Weeds in the bike rack area has been out of control since covid. My kids love to ride their bikes to school but EVERY time they do, the bikes come home with about 15 goat heads/stickers in each tire. Clear it out!

1. 6th grade portables are awful. Staff and students need an upgraded facility!

2. The field is a disaster! There are lots of pot holes, moles/squirrels now creating tunnels, grass has died and left bare spots, weeds growing, floods during rainy season, not safe for students running during P.E. or after school sports (soccer/flag football). It would be nice to have official sized soccer goals with a storage facility to house them.

3. More staff bathrooms would be appreciated! Too many bottoms on too few toilets!!!

4. Landscaping is awful in AUSD.

The school is old. Cockroaches and ants are everywhere.

2. Events centered around holidays (events where families can make holiday crafts and enjoy treats such as cookies and hot cocoa as an example).

3. Better playgrounds for kindergarten and big kids

Also, nicer desks. If we're going to make students sit all day, they should have something a little more comfortable. Desks that can't be taken apart by the students would be nice. Also, more standing desks. It's next to impossible to obtain them.

B/C wings hvac and lights updated same as A wing

Replace the playground

Replace foam matt on playground

Redo primary playground

Paint the whole school

Paint the lines for students to line up

Sadly, the grass field needs to be improved. Please fix the grass fields or provide turf.

More storage.

Thank you

• More shade and seating areas in the playground.

• Install cameras.

• Lights in the playground

• Higher fencing in the back are of the school. There has been many times that coyotes get very close and is easy for them to just jump over.

• Also, developers fees are supposed to be used for making improvements in the school where our kids should be attending and haven’t see any and still paying all this taxes and bonds.

Thank you!

The top windows in the cafeteria should have window coverings. During assemblies using a projector, there is so much light that it is hard to see the image projected. Also, bright light shines in students eyes when seated for assemblies.

Having Teachers substitutes all the time is not good for the students. It disrupts their daily routine and they fall behind.

OPS needs a walking path from the apartments to the front of the school. It could be installed on the far side of the field, adjacent to the UPS facility. This would ensure the gate remains closed and people do not have access to the campus during school hours.

Balls

Jump ropes

Other activities that will keep the kids busy and active during the recess. The playground structure cannot fit all the of the children during recess. The structure size needs to increase or add more recess activities.

1. There's no designated parking for students and staff.

2. Student and staff parking lot should be partitioned off with gates or fences.

3. The front parking lot in the morning and is a disaster zone.

4. There needs to be a busing lane and the designated parent drop off lane. The buses are late coming in because the cars are in their drop off point.

5. Why don't you create a budget for teachers to be out there during bussing and get paid for it this way, you don't have to hire outsiders to control traffic.

6. Cones need to be used. Buy the cones needed to bring safety b4 and after school. Signs with clear directions need to be made and hung at the entrances with arrows pointing in the direction.
