Years later, he sold the company, established Capital Electron Services Ltd., and began servicing communications and radio equipment for municipal governments. Sven Tjelta’s firm also manufactured and sold marine and sound equipment for commercial fishing boats. During the same period in the mid-1960s, Sven Tjelta founded Neodyne Modular Electronic Systems Inc., a firm that manufactured industrial electronic systems for the plywood and lumber industry. Mr. Tjelta managed to raise equity capital during a downturn and eventually sold it to stockbrokers. He then entered the auto collision repair business operating ten body shops and employing over 40 people. After selling the enterprise in 1975, he partnered to form a business consulting firm Bradford, Tjelta & Associates. Sven Tjelta was also in the realty business for 25 years. He founded and currently serves as CEO of Sidney, British Columbia-based Empire Hydrogen Energy Systems, Inc.
