When waste or discarded substances are disposed of in an improper manner in unwanted location, the process is called littering. Hazardous chemicals can leach out of the litter and pollute the soil and water bodies located nearby. These toxins then enter the human body via the food chain. The contaminants also stunt plant growth and cause health issues in animals living in the area. How can you prevent littering? Just by making your garden more beautiful, people can think twice before throwing trash on the ground. You can also place more recycling bins. People will put their garbage in the bin and then garbage won't be on the ground.

How I will take action:

If I am eating a small candy like a mint, I will throw away the wrapper because I don't need it. If for some reason the wrapper is not in the trash, I will not leave it there. I will pick it up and I will put it in the trash.

Climate change is a change in global climate patterns. Climate change attributed largely to the increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the use of fossil fuels. Climate change increases the frequency and intensity of extreme weather. These changes in the weather can cause property and crop losses. As climate change gets worse, mre dangerous weather events will become frequent. How can you prevent climate change and its affects? You can't but you can slow it down. One way is by saving energy. You can do this by turning off faucets or pipes when you are not using them. Another way to slow down climate change is by reduce your transportation emissions. You can also do this by sharing rides or taking public transportation.

 How I will take action:

I will take action by recycling more, and getting my family and friends to recycle. I will also take action by turning off lights in my house when I am not using them. Doing this will save energy. To take action I will also be wise with what I do with water. For example, I can turn off faucets when I am not using them. I can also follow the four R's, to take action.

Deforestation is the removing of trees in a forest. It is one of the main contributors to Global warming. Purposes of deforestation include but not limited to: Agriculture, using the wood for fuel, Construction, making new homes for the growing population and many more. People also clear out forests for farmhouses to make meat. Compared to plant based foods, meat take more land which means more forests. Forests make up 31% percent of our planet and 80 percent of animals such as birds, foxes, deers, moose, and many more live in forests. Another major problem caused by deforestation is Global warming. Forests can take in more than 230 gigatons of Carbon Dioxide a year. When the forests get cut down, the carbon dioxide gets released into the atmosphere and causes global warming.

How I will take action:

I will take action by trying not to use many paper products, use recyclable products, Support businesses like Ecosia, that are dedicated to using their profits to plant trees, encourage people to eat more plant based foods

Waste management includes the activities and actions required to manage waste from its inception to its final disposal. We waste a lot of things not know what they can be used for. Waste management involves the regular collection, transportation as well as processing and disposal or recycling and monitoring of different types of waste materials. These services can save your business a considerable amount of money, and can also prevent the environment from being harmed. We waste around 180 gallons per week, or 9,400 gallons of water annually and that's because we leave the water running and forget it's on or we take showers for to long with the water running. That needs to stop we need to save water and its not just water it could be electricity as well we leave the room lights on and that can count on your bill and raise your bill and your bill will be a lot harder to pay so we need to save energy as well.

How I will take action:

I will take action by not wasting so much and learning how to savior my trash and making sure I can recycle better and not wasting water or wasting anything.

Air pollution is dangerous. Air pollution has a bad effect on people who breathe the toxic gas, lung cancer, and more harmful effects of breathing in the toxic gas. The tiny smoke particles of the plant absorbing the Co2 and the smoke, cover the leaves lightly which makes the process photosynthesis less reliable on generating food as the particles block the sunlight. This can also block the pores in the leaves for exchanging oxygen for Co2. This can also help global warming. What can you do to stop air pollution? Bikes and walking are very easy and simple to use, it also does not emit smoke which is bad for the environment around you.

How will I take action: I will hang my clothes on a line outside of the house in the backyard; Lot's of sun shines there and we can make use of it. We can also buy brooms so that dust is not thrown around.

In the world we live in recycling is very important and a very relevant subject, but do you really understand the importance of recycling? In the 70's Earth day was introduced it. One of the biggest problems was the air and it may seem crazy but hairspray was causing a lot of the problems! One thing that comes to most peoples mind about the 70's and 80's is the big hair their hair did just get like that it took a LOT of hairspray. The cans had a very harmful chemical called aerosol that's why its important to recycle, and we should all recycle because we can destroy the ozone layer and we only have one. If your city doesn't recycle you can drop it off to a different city that is close by that does recycle or you can try to reuse or reduce the amount of trash you are throwing away.

How I will take action:

I will take action by continuing to recycle and follow the 4 R's i will also do my best to get more people to recycle as much as they can

Therious: Plastic Overuse

Plastic has been a popular material because it is flexible, lightweight, and strong. That makes it ideal for packaging, its largest use. It’s also commonly used in clothing and single-use items such as straws because of this plastic is used by a lot of popular companies and after the plastic is used it is just thrown on the ground and nobody wants to pick it up so then it is just pushed around by wind and rain and a lot of those plastics make it to beaches and rivers and those plastics stay in the water to the point where now the ocean is contaminated by 8.3 million pieces of microplastics per cubic meter of water. Analysis has found that between 15% to 31% of all the plastic in the oceans comes from primary sources—small particles released from household and industrial products. The plastic leads to destroying the marine life and polluting the earth.

How I will take action:

I can start by picking up plastic I see on the ground and throwing it away in the recycle.
