      <description>A graduate of Michigan State University, Carene Kunkler received a bachelor of science and a master of business administration in marketing. She began her career in the advertising and marketing division of The Procter &amp; Gamble Company, where she improved product packaging and copy for brands such as Wondra Hand Lotion and Sure Deodorant. Carene Kunkler’s work with Pert Shampoo received a World Class Copy award in the beauty care division and contributed to significant market share growth for the brand.

Ms. Kunkler subsequently joined LensCrafters, Inc. in positions including senior marketing director and general manager of stores in the Central division. Most recently, she served as vice president of product supply, in which role she created a co-op and private label program. She also contributed to the development of scratch-resistant and prescription sunglass lens lines. In recognition of her accomplishments, she was named Optical Woman of the Year in 2003.

Ms. Kunkler participates in optical industry events held in New York City, Paris, and Milan. Outside of work, she enjoys watching professional women’s golf and practicing yoga.</description>
