while Biko seems to have maintained his growth potential (75th centile from birth), he has a late onset sepsis that may not be fully resolved (still has tachypnea and oxygen requirement), or may require a reevaluation of cause. he is only feeding on 100mls/kg/day at 21 days which may not be providing adequate calories. there is no mention of supplements or of any KMC.

Abubakar seems to be doing well but we need to advance his feeds beyond trophic feeds faster. maintain the KMC and watch out for any evolving infections of feed intolerance.
for both babies, track the head circumference and length weekly for complete tracking of growth

Biko seems to be rather doing but challenges he has include: late onset neonatal sepsis, feeds at 21 days is still low to provide adequate calory requirement thus low weight gain of 4g/kg/day. no mention of KMC and multivitamins and iron. so further care should address the mentioned concern like increasing EBM with MOM target 180ml/kg/day, to also monitor length and HC. for Abubaker, there's a need to increase the EBM.

Biko is 3 weeks old. He started off at a good birthweight centile and has managed to regain his birthweight and continue on the same centile. He was born following spontaneous preterm labour, which indicates that his mum is probably in a fair health condition but we are not told if he is getting KMC which would help promote feeding. He is still quite unwell and seems to have poor feed tolerance(is on about half full feeds) so is at risk for weight faltering. Furthermore, he is very preterm, making risk for NEC high.

Abubakar,on the other hand, is 3 days old and was born with a weight at the 25th centile. He appears to be in a be generally well. He was born to a mum who underwent C/section following preeclampsia and hence she might not be fully recovered and may need further support to ensure lactation is well established. It is commendable that he is receiving 16 hours of KMC. He should continue receiving feeds with gradual increments to ensure he gains weight consitently.
