         <description><![CDATA[<div>Portfolios are most effective when used to evaluate students learning  process and achievement</div><ol><li><em>This can also help teachers alter lesson plans if it shows certain types of lessons or activities had positive effects towards student grades</em></li></ol><div>Portfolios can show how a student has no only learned more, but progressed and matured through their learning process</div><ol><li><em>For example, how a student writes an essay from the beginning of the year compared to the end</em></li></ol><div>Portfolios give students an active role in how their “assessment” is evaluated</div><ol><li><em>Students are able to see their progress </em></li><li><em>Portfolios can provide structure for involving students in developing and understanding criteria for good efforts </em></li></ol><div><br></div>]]></description>
