Bogotá and San Andrés are two of the most popular destinations in Colombia, but they offer very different experiences. Bogotá, the capital city, is much larger and more modern than San Andrés. It has more museums, restaurants, and cultural activities. However, it is also colder and more crowded.

San Andrés, on the other hand, is smaller but much more relaxing. The island is warmer, sunnier, and surrounded by beautiful beaches. The sea in San Andrés is clearer and more colorful than in any other place in Colombia, which is why it is called “the sea of seven colors.”

While Bogotá is busier and has more nightlife, San Andrés is calmer and perfect for rest. People in San Andrés are also friendlier and more welcoming to tourists.

For these reasons, San Andrés is my favorite. It is more beautiful, more peaceful, and offers a better escape from daily life than Bogotá

The hike to the Lost City was way more challenging than I thought it would be, but the sense of accomplishment was even more rewarding than I had imagined. Overall, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is definitely one of the most incredible places I've ever been to, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure that's a little more off the beaten path.
