She has no control over the situation she is in which consists of being in an unknown country and difficult financial situation. Her parents probably don't tell her things to not worry or traumatize her. It makes sense for her to be uncomfortable if and when things are kept from her. Her home life might be a little disorganized and she is probably not taken care of as good as her peers. Her lifestyle is obviously different than others' because she is a poor, immigrant, child. She probably has a poor connection with her parents because they are always working or too tired to interact with their kids after a long, exhausting day of work. The awareness of being dirty may end up leading to her feeling dirty on an internal level and lead to internalized oppression since she is in a country where she is disliked.
