This represents positive reinforcement because in return for Cinderella doing her chores, she gets to attend the ball. This is an example of positive punishment because Cinderella must clean and find a dress to wear, this is assigned to Cinderella in hopes of her not being able to find a suitable outfit so that she can't go. She sets a hamster and Bart up in similar situations to see who is able to overcome the obstacle. For example, she puts food in the hamsters cage and connects it to an electrical current, when the hamster goes to take a bite, it gets shocked. She did the same with Bart except did it with a cupcake. Because of this, whenever Bart hears or sees a cupcake, he freaks out and passes out because he remembers his last encounter with a cupcake.
