How to move away from colonialist thinking about evaluation, and assess and value skills that students need to succeed, and create welcoming spaces for students of color, first gen. We need to think about multi-factor assessment,If we want students on committees, do we run the committees in ways that make it possible for students to participate? Many faculty and administrators don't think students belong in decision-making bodies. We do have allies, but the movement/action needs to happen.
