I support the United States decision to drop the bomb because... to continue fighting the war would have resulted in more deaths and it was "their last option". I think this decision would be just as controversial today because many innocent lives are still being taken.

i oppose the decision the US made. the killing of that much civilians is cruel and the death of more soldiers would not reach the amount of deaths of civilians and if they wanted to get Japan to surrender they shouldve just threatened them with the bomb instead of using it and disassembling the bomb to avoid the Cold War

I oppose the United States decision of dropping the atomic bomb against Japan because not only did the bomb kill and injured many people once it hit the ground but it the radiation killed people after it as well. It also killed many random civilians and destroyed the city. I think it would be more controversial if it happened today because everyone has different strong opinions on this matter so obviously there's going to be many oppose and many supporting it and overall just a very controversial topic.

I oppose the bomb because of a few reasons. Yes if the bomb wasn't used, who knows how long the war would have gone for. But I believe that it never should have happened. One reason being that the people that went through the experience of the bomb where scarred for like, they wouldn't be able to live the same again. And another reason being that when you use a nuclear bomb, the effects after are devastating. They had to clean an entire city for years and years to be able to just live in it, let alone survive. I think that it shouldn't be a thing.

I support the bomb because japanese and Americans killed each other, and also bombing would convince Japan to surrender. I think is decision would be controversial today because alots of people living under family pressure , and doing suicide.

I oppose the bomb because so many innocent lives were lost and the radioactivity that was left by the bomb affected civilians years after it went off.

i support the US dropping the bomb because , it ended up bringing the war to an quick end !! & like Ms.Treuer said , ... to continue fighting the war would have resulted more deaths and it was their “last option” .
