Dear Miss Tayler,

I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such an amazing teacher. Your animal science class has been one of the best parts of my week since it started, and I always look forward to logging on. Not just because the lessons are so interesting, but because of how fun you make them! Class is never boring when you're there.

It never feels like you're just teaching us - you take the time to connect with us, and that makes learning something we actually enjoy. You're always so interactive with us students, and it makes me feel truly seen. I'm sure the others would agree. You make the class feel like such a safe, happy, and welcoming space.

One of the things I appreciate most about you is that you never make us feel stupid for asking questions. No question is ever too big or too small for you - you always take the time to answer thoughtfully, with patience and kindness. That means a lot more than you probably realize.

I also absolutely love when you show your pets during class! You almost always have a dog with you, whether it's in your lap or under your desk, and it honestly makes the Zoom calls even better. It's such a small thing, but it always makes me smile. You've brought so much joy into learning, and little moments like that made the class feel even more special.

Alero, my horse who broke his leg, has recently been cleared to come home! While it has been tough, this experience has, more than ever, made me want to become an equine veterinarian. Every time I talked about him in chat, you've always been so supportive and kind. You've always encouraged students who want to pursue a career in animal medicine, and that kind of encouragement stays with us. It definitely stuck with me.

It breaks my heart to hear what you're going through. I can't imagine how hard this must be, but I hope you know that you've left a real mark on all of your students - you definitely did on me. I'll never forget your kindness, your passion, or the way you made each of us feel supported and valued.

I love you so much, Miss Tayler. Thank you for everything. I'm sending you strength, love, and all the hope in the world for healing. You will get through this. You'll always be my favorite teacher, even though we only knew each other for a short time.

And honestly, I'll probably think of you every time I see a Chihuahua.
