What you've done for Role Play Presentation?

INTRO

For our role play presentation, we explored the theme of Adab (Islamic manners) and Ahkam (Islamic rulings) to understand which one holds more importance in daily life.
We began by discussing the definitions and differences between Adab and Ahkam.

MESSAGE

Our goal was to show that both Adab and Ahkam are important, but Adab often reflects the spirit behind the rulings.
We concluded that while Ahkam are the laws we must follow, Adab adds beauty, mercy, and humanity to our actions.
In some situations, good Adab can even prevent conflicts and guide others towards the right path more effectively than just enforcing rules.

REFLECTION

After the role play, we shared our thoughts on what we learned and how we can apply both Adab and Ahkam in our own lives.
We encouraged the audience to reflect on how balancing both can improve their character and relationships.

After finishing all the assigned tasks in Usrah, I have gained a sense of fulfillment and personal development such as working in teams, communication, and critical thinking within the realm of Islam. The exposure to doing this in an Islamic context not only deselected the learning a lot familiar to perceiving Islamic values in general, but also allowed me to bond more with my classmates and develop a more disciplined and contemplative approach to self-improvement and learning.

Having learnt Usrah over the past 7-weeks, I truly hope that I will be able to put into practice the knowledge, attitudes and spirituality that I have developed in my everyday life. This course has helped me to understand the importance of living with ikhlas (sincerity), tawadu' (humility) and ihsan (discipline) which is in line with Islamic principles. I am also reminded of the importance of being connected to Allah (SWT) by consistently worshipping Allah (SWT), pondering and improving myself.

I hope that in addition to personal development, I am able to use the principles of Usrah, to add value to my community in the practice of good adab (manners), beneficial discussions and helping those who require it of me, as well as to maintain the ukhwah (brotherhood/sisterhood) that has been developed with my peers in this process.

MESSAGE

Patience is a major virtue in Islam, because of which we get the grace of remaining calm, strong, and steadfast in faith when confronted with tough experiences. Since as students and individuals, we encounter various hardships such as mental strain letdown misunderstanding, and troubles, there are lots of things to learn from patience. For, through it, we not only regulate our feelings but also learn to rely on the divine plan and to act wisely rather than giving in to rashness. And, we develop good interpersonal ties and our trust in God gets stronger.

REFLECTION

In fact, this lesson made me understand that patience is more than just waiting. It also involves our conduct during difficulties. It is quite obvious that we sometimes feel very angry, frustrated, or even despaired when things are go wrong. Yet, the religion of Islam calls for a calm attitude and trust in God's plan. On top of that, I understood that by practicing patience, we are capable of changing ourselves into more robust, wiser and positive beings. Since learning about patience, I have made up my mind to work on my emotional control, positive thinking and patience in my everyday life.

When I finish all the assigned works in Usrah class, I think I learn a lot of meaningful lessons and valuable experiences. The activities and presentations of the class have made me learn a lot about the values of the Islamic, Mostly about the value of patience, personality and reliance on Allah SWT. I also learn about the way of effective communication, cooperation with other member and confident in further presentation. Through finishing all these assigned tasks, I realize that the teachings of Islam are not only in our study but also in our social life. In fact, I also improve myself completely in this class.

Throughout this semester, I have been learning about Usrah and really wish to implement all the subtopics that I have learned in my everyday life. This course has given me a clear insight into the great significance of patience (sabr), good manners, sincerity, and trust in Allah when we are confronted with challenges and difficulties. It has also served as a reminder to me, that any trial or hardship in life, should be met with composure, faith, and reliance on Allah (SWT).

Beyond my development as a person, I am also looking forward to doing what I learned from the Usrah class by being a better person to other people around me, Mostly to my family and relatives, by having more patience kindness respect and understanding. I also enjoy the ukhwah that I formed with my classmates and group members in this class. All in all, to me, this class opened up valuable experiences that lead to shape my personality and spirituality as a Muslim.
