Intelligence is a person's capacity to salve problems, understand topics, etc. The intelligence is something you earnt, gather, based on efforts to learn new things. Usually people says that someone is born intelligent, but that is not completely correct, since you can be intelligent, everyone is intelligent and can be intelligent, they just have to discovered it and learn new things.

It really depends on the porcon, for erample Charlie Gordon. All his life he was disparage by his classmates and his own family, just because he was not inteligent. All this trauma lead to Charlies desire of gather intelligence, since it was so important for him, that feeling of being cared by someone, don't be threated as a dumb, The importance that someone giver to intelligence just to be happy, is because of society comment. The ones that are intelligent usually gets the best benefits, while the ones that are not, are disparage.

Is a person's worth( value)measured by their intelligence?

In some cases, I think so, since some persons that are actually very intelligent usually approach of this to make other feel bad and disregard thers just because they think they have the right of doing it. Intelligence can be something good, but also it can make other be rude, since many of them (as I mentioned) think that just by being intelligent. they can make others feel dumb on purpose.
