Our group believes Mary Shelley's lesson that she is trying to get across the readers is that there is always two sides to a story. The book is narrated between Frankenstein and the Creation. Frankenstein's point of view is constantly guilty, guilty for creating the monster and having him kill his family. As for the Monster's point of view he is filled with sorrow and rage, this is because he was neglected from his birth. This explains his actions to why he killed Victor's family.

Mary Shelley depicts the lesson of not judging people’s intentions based on their apprearances & how people are capable of performing incredible things but there are limits. The message is that setting your expectation to extent of it being unrealistic will leave you a disappointed outcome.

The message is monsters aren’t born monsters, they’re created. Mary Shelley was trying to say we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover because people believed he was ugly on the outside therefore they assumed that he was ugly on the inside. Due to his mistreatment from mankind he became a monster.

The lesson she is trying to teach to the readers would be dangerous knowledge and that knowledge can be good but also bad at the same time. The message is that with this knowledge to own up to what you’ve done and take responsibility; don’t run away from it.

The lesson Mary Shelley is trying to give is not to judge someone by their appearance, and this exemplified by people treating the creation like a monster without giving him a chance. This is demonstrated in the village when villagers attacked and fled from the creation (Shelley 93-94). The message throughout this book is society creates standards and sets expectations for how people should be treated. The creation was expecting to be hated and abused once he found the family with the blind man, so he decided to "remain quietly in [his] hovel, watching" (Shelley 98).

The lesson Mary Shelley is trying to convey is to think before you act. She demonstrates the lesson by portraying Victor as one who does not except his own instincts, but instead, pushes them aside and continues working on the creature (pg. 41). " I shuddered when I thought of the possible consequences of my consent" (pg. 134). Victor has now learned that he should think about his consequences before creating another creature.

The lesson we learned is to think of the possible consequences before dping something. Also to be kind and open-minded because you never know how your actions could effect others. All of the Monster’s murders started when people ran away or attacked him and he felt abandoned and lonely. If someone had shown him compassion or kindness he wouldn’t have turned out like he did.

knowledge is power but it doesn't make you powerful, meaning that victor had the knowledge to create the creation but in the end, in a way, the creation overpowered him by threatening him and killing his loves ones. also neglecting people from society has negative impacts as we saw with the creation and with victor.
