This book is about how a little girl was locked in a room for hundreds of years and dies at just 6 years old eventually not remembering why she is in the room and what she was waiting for or what she was scared of and these men would come on horses in the midnight and slam on the door and ask for her and she would hide but she didn't know why she was hiding but she eventually found out they killed her parents and her name was Lilly and the aunt planned to hurt Lilly's parents and kill them for money and she was hiding from them and she had a proper burial.

Have you ever thought about how it would feel to be running away to be running away from Nazis during WWII? Well this book perfectly portays the gripping story of three different refugees all from different time periods. each story is meticulously written to the point where you can feel yourself in the character's position; being shot at by Nazis, stranded in the ocean in the middle of the night, and so many other situations. This book is not only incredibly informing on the lives of war refugees, but also a brutally truthful nail biter that you won't be able to stop reading. If you read to the end, you might be able to notice some connections between the characters.

Autumn and Finn were childhood friends, you could say inseparable. They grew up together due to their mothers' friendship. Being neighbors and spending every holiday together made it even harder to part ways at the end of middle school. Autumn and her boyfriend Jamie have planed their futures together, but she will never get over how much she misses Finn. Finn and his girlfriend Sylvie have an off and on relationship. Finn and Autumn parting ways affected their friendship, but they won't let that make their mothers feel bad about still having a friend like no other before for they still see each other often. Autumn and Finn will always have unresolved feelings for each other. The second book is in Finny's point of you.
