Personification 
The ice cube melted like as if a person was sweating.
The pot spins like if a person was spinning around and around.
My device switches on like if a person woke up.

Metophor 
The chair is as red as apples.
The ice cream is as cold as an ice cube.
The traffic is as slow as a snail.

Simile
When we are watching a movie at home it is like we are watching in the theater.
The apartments tall like the Statue of Liberty.
Blue stones are like sapphire jewels.

Hyperbole
I've been waiting all day to sleep.
We were traviling for a whole day.
There is nothing to do.

What is figurative language?
 
Answer - Words or expression which has NO literal meaning to it.
 
Types of Figurative language and example:-
 
Metaphor - You are my sunshine.
Simile - My little sister is busy as a bee.
Personification - The sky is full of dancing stars.
 Hyperbole - I fell of the grass and was bleeding like a river.
 Symbolism -The white house represents liberty and freedom.
 
--Also Alliterations and Onomatopoeia are figurative language.
 
Alliterations- Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. 
 Onomatopoeia - Blah blah blah!! Meow , Oink, Neigh!
