         <description><![CDATA[<div>The expressions: “when hope failed them”, “hatching a plan”, “coming down with something”,  and “fever had broken”, are used in this text.  What do these sayings mean?  Add details about the context if that helps.<br><strong>1.  When hope failed them it means that they had completely just given up on everything.<br>2.  Hatching a plan means that you are thinking of a new plan.<br>3.  Coming down with something means that you are getting a sickness or something.<br>4.  Fever had broken means that a sickness of some sort has cured and no longer hurts</strong></div>]]></description>
