• How to build networks with different types of industries, academia and government bodies
• I had to get advice from other higher education institutions regarding topics to be covered 
• My consultative and negation skill was greatly improved

It then dawned on me the role that networks and the development has on the quality of teaching that we do. Although the main function of the advisory board is to help with curriculum design it I came to the relations that the building and developing of networks also make me grow as a teacher.
