Racism has been built in society since the early ages meaning that this is what history has taught us. It has been deeply enriched in many people since slavery and colonialism that white people were superior to black people. Despite it being years since these events, in 2013 nearly a third of people in the UK admitted to being racist on some level; there is also that fact that 84% of hate crimes in the UK during this year were race related making it the worst form of discrimination.

Antony Walker was murdered on the 29th of July 2005, his murder, Taylor drove an ice-axe into Anthony's skull after attacking him at a bus stop with his cousin Michael Barton just because he was ‘black’ meaning his murder was racially motivated. Anthony was just 18 years old and was in his second year of college. He lived with his mother, father, sisters and brother. A campaign has been set up by his mother to spread the awareness of racial hate.-

In 2008, mental health care was limited for Asian women in the UK. Asian Women were largely discriminated against for having a mental health problem not only within their own society but also by members in the NHS. This meant that in 2008. suicide rates for women were higher amongst Asians due to the Asian community not being tied in with the general community. Asian women found it harder to ask for help because of this discrimination.
