The beach cleanup was an organized event by the school where myself and multiple other volunteers came together to clean up and remove litter, debris and other pollutants from the Dubai beaches and coastal areas. The goal of beach cleanups is to remove waste, especially plastics and other pollutants from coastal areas to protect marine ecosystems, wildlife and human health. Additionally, they raise awareness about the impact of pollution on the environment and encourage responsible waste disposal and conservation efforts. Beach cleanups also contribute to maintaining the natural beauty of beaches, promoting tourism and local economies.
