from attending the same schools, taking the same paths to and from school, to riding the same public transport, yeji has always been the friend next door. it's engraved in daily routine to encounter each other at least once a day; regardless of whether they've drifted apart or not, it's nice to know that there's someone you've shared wonderful memories with to look back on and reminisce how things were so much better as a kid, free from responsibilities and worries.

with how often yeji goes around town, running errands for everyone, she's become a familiar face. it usually begins with her parents asking her for a favour which snowballs into more tasks as she meets with other people, and yeji being yeji, can never seem to say no seeing that she likes to help out. although sometimes, while in the midst of running her errands, yeji finds herself stopping everything in her tracks to help someone else out.

though the closeness that was once there is long gone, yeji still reminisces about the friendship she used to have. there are instances when she catches herself thinking about them through the little things that remind her of them, and it's those moments that transport her back to the past, reliving memories that leave a bittersweet taste in her mouth. they may no longer have contact, but yeji will always care even if she can never directly express it.
