TA: Hallo, can I help you?
C: Oh, yes, good morning. I'd like to plan my winter holiday and I need some information.
TA: That's what we are here for ! Where would you like to go?
C: I'd like to visit Portugal. You know, Lisbon, the Rua Augusta... when is it the best to go?
TA: The best time to visit Portugal is summer. June to September's the coolest season.
Have a look at this brochure. It's Free & Easy Traveler travel, a tour operator specialising in Portugal. It provides 10-day Lisbon tour that combines coach and train travel visiting also Porto, Oporto and Logos.
C: Does this include a visit to the Rue Augusta?
TA: Of course, the Rue Augusta is in Lisbon.
C: How much does it cost?
TA: This isn't a luxury travel. It's about £ 1.189 including flights, accomodation in a Hostel- breakfasts, 6 lunches and 6 meals at local restaurants and trasfers. By the way, all Free & Easy Traveler group trips are accompanied by a personal English guide.
C: That sounds reasonable. Is insurance included in the price?
TA: No, it isn't. However, insurance is compulsory for all our trips. Your policy document must indicate that you have medical expenses.
C: What about vaccinations?
TA: Vaccinatios are not compulsory, but it is a good idea to be up to date with tetanus vaccinations.
C: And what about in local currency?
TA: The local currency is the Euro. The cheapest way to obtain local currency is via ATM, automated teller machines, which are available in most towns. You can use credit cards everywhere.
C: One more question. Do I need a visa to enter Portugal?
TA: No, you don't. You only need the identity card and the passport.
C: Can I keep the brochure? Have you got any maps?
TA: Certainly! Here' s a map and also a short guide to the main attractions in the area.
C: Thanks a lot. Good Bye!
