The Fair Labor Standards Act highlights the importance of protecting workers' rights, particularly minimum wage, overtime pay, and child labor regulations. In class, we discussed how the FLSA was a landmark piece of legislation passed in 1938 to ensure fair treatment in the workplace and to reduce exploitation, especially during a time of economic hardship. The post demonstrates how these standards continue to influence modern labor practices by setting a baseline for ethical employer behavior. This connection shows an understanding of how federal labor laws aim to create a more just and equitable working environment for all employees.

Paid labor - Search Videos.
