In class we talked about how unfair it can be to be paid unfairly by race even when doing the same job. Men where being sent off to war as women stayed home and worked production line. In class we talked about how women were put in charge to produce war needs. This is good because they were needed but went given as much gratitude. I also want to mention that sometimes women where objectified and just seen as something nice for soldiers to look at.

Intimate Partner Violence

One of the biggest topics that we talked about was partner violence. Especially after witnessing partner violence, it was awful and needs to be prevented. In class, we talked about how intimate partner violence is rooted in power and control, not just physical abuse. We also learned about the barriers survivors face when trying to leave, such as financial dependence and fear, which makes education and support systems even more critical.
