She is very sassy about it and definitely thinks that if she is going to pay rent then something has to be done in order to keep her house in shape. She definitely feels very strong about this topic and thinks something needs to be done about it.
Keep your promises, there are your responsibilities. I think this because in the story it says “And you ain’t done a thing You promised to’ve done.” She is referring to all the damage and problems in her house that he promised to fix but didn’t so she isn’t paying her rent.
