And that a "celly" (cellphone) is referred  to as a "tool" because it can provide evidence on any mishap that occurs between the police and black people.  Another lyric that also appeals to logos is "So fitted, I’m on gucci, I’m so pretty" this lyric illustrates how many people are drawn to expensive goods as a way to define their own wealth or beauty. This is a nod to pop culture and black culture of their stereotypes.  Another stereotype that is portrayed in both lyrics and the video is the scene where Gambino is seen smoking marijuana and “Get yo money, black man!” is sung. Gambino plays the complex role of America herself, from violence, to the use of entertainment as a distraction. He plays the role of the ring leader and caricature throughout the video. Gambino has a lot of cultural and historic symbolic gestures throughout the video. Everything from facial expressions, body language, clothing, and  down to background image is used to help convey his message.
