April 18th, 1980
Before their independence, Zimbabwe was named Southern-Rhodesia when under the British monarchy. It was hard for them to keep peace and establish state security which means that the government should protect everyone from any national crises. Also the citizens were demanding their expectation of the economy to be met. Ian Douglas Smith created a UDI or a Unilateral Declaration of Independence against the British. A UDI lets countries establish a new state of independence without having to consult with whomever is ruling them. It was not recognized, so Rhodesia was forced to economic sanctions. The sanctions and the stress put on from the UK and the community, also the guerrilla warfare led to a constitutional conference and free elections. This happened around 1979, then finally Rhodesia being the last but the least of the African Nations to gain their independence and getting the name, Zimbabwe. Robert Mugabe winning the becoming the first Prime Minister worked his way up to being the President of Zimbabwe and Chief of State. http://www.sahistory.org.za/dated-event/zimbabawean-independence-day , http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/03056248008703426 , http://www.japanafricanet.com/directory/presidents/africanindependence.html ,http://www.naa.gov.au/collection/fact-sheets/fs263.aspx , http://www.politics.co.uk/reference/zimbabwe
...the president of Zimbabwe lighting the flame of Independence at their National Sports Stadium.

Morocco or Kingdom of Morocco has been a constitutional monarchy since 2011. Which just means that all of the political stuff is worked out through several parties and not just the king and or queen. But, under their new constitution the King will still remain the top dog. Many people still don't feel complete with their government and believe that their advisers are corrupt or dishonest. Morocco was an autocratic government before. So, in the past they have changed their constitution multiple times. Their new constitution helps the prime minister, Saad Eddine El Othmani, to be elected from the amount of votes his party gains rather than the prime minister being chosen by the King. The prime minister will also be upgraded to head of government. He can also choose and disapprove of members of the Cabinet or being in different positions in the government. The king is King Mohammed VI who gained his power in 1999 at the age of 36. The newest prime minister in Saad Eddine El Othmani, and he would replace Abdelilah Benkirane. Since Morocco is ruled by a King, the "crown" is passed down generation to generation. They became constitutional because of some changes that the King had made previously, such as; making the language berber instead of just arabic, giving some rights from the monarch to the prime minister. The cabinet contains 25 Ministers and 5-10 Secretaries of State. The Executive Branch putting laws into effect, authority and how the state should be governed. The Legislative Branch come up with the laws and focus on bills, and budgeting. With 325 members that have a 5 year term. The second half are the Councillors with 270 members holding a 9 year term. The Judicial Branch is independent but run by the Supreme Court that has 5 chambers, constitutional, penal, administrative, social, and civil. http://www.somalipress.com/morocco-overview/government-politics-morocco-1098.html , http://www.cbsnews.com/news/king-declares-morocco-a-constitutional-monarchy/ , http://www.studycountry.com/guide/MA-government.htm
...pic is when King Mohammed VI said that the new constitution would protect the rights of the people, in 2011.

The U.S. and Madagascar both are in international organizations together such as the United Nations which helps to increase the political and economical workings among the members of the other countries. Also the economic and social development programs, helping with the basic human rights and to reduce conflict among the nations. They are also in the World bank, they give loans to other countries to help them rebuild themselves. And the World Trade Organization, which just deals with the rules for all trade between nations. One way that we have good relations is that the ambassador of Madagascar is Robert T. Yamate who is also a representative for the U.S. They hold an office in Washington D.C. In 1990 the U.S. used some of their military to assist their military to make them more skilled in parts they may be lacking in such as their engineering. We provided them a more managed and technical training for their armed forces. The U.S. involvement with Madagascar made them the first country with the Millennium Challenge Account Compact. The MCC is basically an aid agency. The MCC was established in 2004 by the U.S. to gives the ''aid'' as loans to poor countries whom had taken into economic and political reforms or changes. The MCA is to help motivate the democratic governments. http://www.investopedia.com/terms/u/united-nations-un.asp , http://www.dictionary.com/browse/world-bank , https://www.wto.org/english/thewto_e/whatis_e/whatis_e.htm , https://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/bgn/5460.htm , http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/africa/ma-forrel-us.htm , http://www.cfr.org/pakistan/foreign-aid-millennium-challenge-account/p7748 pic if Mr. Ron Ton at a mission meeting with the Ministers of foreign affairs of Madagascar, shaking hands with Mrs. Atallah

France passed an act to annex Madagascar. The Germans soon then had a plan to export all the jews to Madagascar during WWII. In the year 1947 France's feelings were not high. The french were called overseas reforms, moving Madagascar to its independance.

Morocco gained independence from France and Spain in 1956. Morocco was under control for 44 years. Spain still controls two cities in Morocco: Ceuta and Melilla. Once Morocco gained independence, Mohammed V, a nationalist, ruled as a king from 1957 to 1961 and changed Morocco into becoming a constitutional monarchy. Morocco regained their independence from France. Later on they got their territories from Spanish rule. In 1944, nationalists formed an independence party called Istiqlal. The Istiqlal drafted a manifesto, France responded by arresting the leaders of the Istiqlal party. After a riot in 1952, France sent Mohammed V to Madagascar and replaced him with Mohammed Ben Arafa who was not as popular as Mohammed V.
http://www.mapsofworld.com/morocco/independence-day.html
http://www.war-memorial.net/Moroccan-War-of-Independence-3.109
