         <description><![CDATA[<div><a href="https://www.microbiologysociety.org/education-outreach/antibiotics-unearthed.html">Antibiotics U</a>ndersea  is a students as co-creator project which the University of Westminster has joined for 2018-2019. After the exciting experience from last year, the Antibiotics Undersea is coming back with the aim to find new Antibiotics from the soil bacteria found in Antibiotics Unearthed. Particularly, we will focus on <em>Vibrio parahaemolyticus</em> a rising threat that is affecting more and more the seafood and the human health. Read through the documents below, to find out more about the project.<br><br><strong>WHO CAN JOIN THE PROJECT?</strong><br>We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated undergraduate students from the University of Westminster who would be willing to commit to working on the project every Wednesday afternoon in semester 2  (full day Wednesday in the student engagement week)  starting from January 2019.  There will also be the opportunity to participate in outreach activities to promote the project and the topic of antibiotic resistance. You do not necessarily need a background in science - we are also looking for students with skills in website creation, communication and social media.  Read through the documents below, to find out more about the project.<br><br><strong>HOW TO APPLY TO JOIN THE PROJECT<br></strong>To apply to join the project,  please submit EITHER a short paragraph (max 300 words) or a short video (max 3 mins) outlining why you would like to participate and the skills you could bring to the  project to Linda Percy  by email at  percyl@westminster.ac.uk by Friday 7th December 2018.     <br>The project will start in January 2019.</div>]]></description>
