He now lives his life in cruelty. I think I would reacted the same way Buck has because I think I would've been confused, scared, and angry. One situation I had similar to Buck was when I had to do the chores because my brothers were "very tired" from shopping all day, I argued and I was forced to do the chores.

I am a little farther along than what I had expected. The story is great so far, it is never boring and you always want to know what's next. The reading is a little slow but I got far in the story, it takes me some time to imagine what is going on. I think next Buck will probably get attacked for the leader role or he might try to run away. I think I earn an A for my participation grade in the book club because I have been trying to make a good response to each one of the post and I put a lot of effort into it.
