She had the class follow along for her presentation so they were able to draw their own self-portraits. 
2. Student researched homeless shelters in the Baltimore area and chose one to collect money for. The student sent a letter home for families to donate, wrote a script for the morning announcements to share with school community, and created posters around the school. After the project was over, the student went to the homeless shelter and donated the money!
3.  Student learned how to cook so she could help her mom with dinner.
4. Student learned how to care for a baby so she could help her mom care for her little sister at home.
5. Student researched the giant panda and created a campaign to save them from being extinct.
