They rebelled throughout their lifestyle of music and dancing. Even though most of them rebelled with their dance and music, some rebelled by helping people affected by the Nazi regime. They also helped by helping people escape prisons, concentration camps, and intercepting German supply trains. Later on the Germans found out about them and soon arrested and executed some of them.

They resisted by their love for swing, hence the name the Swing Kids. They loved the American culture but Hitler didn't allow any other foreign culture in Germany. The Swing Kids didn't listen to his dumb rules so they were arrested and sent to concentration camps if they were caught. "Swing Heil" was a greeting used by the Swing Kids to mock the Nazi's meaning "Hail Victory." In 1940 there was a swing festival in Hamburg, Germany and around 500-600 came to dance and resist against Hitler and the Nazi regime.
