His definition is "a dream of a social order in which each man and woman shall be able to attain to the fullest stature of which they are innately capable, and be recognized by others for what they are regardless of the fortiutous circumstances of birth or position". He said it meant "a dream of a better, richer and happier life for all citizens of every rank". I think he meant that people from any background could decide what kind of life they want to live and have the freedom to make that choice. She came to California because she had a hard life there and needed to take care of her kids by herself. It was sad to know that she didn't have any dreams for herself. She said that she only thought about how she could help her parents and her kids. She wanted a better life for them and worked hard to support all of her kids. Her life was hard in Mexico for her and her parents and brothers and sisters because they didn't have a lot of money. She's the only one who came to the United States alone from all her family.

"What influenced me was having to provide for my children. Life in Mexico was very hard for me. I got married at 16 and had my first child at 17. I've had a difficult life and worked hard but thank God my children have more opportunities than if i would've stayed in Mexico."

"I believe that with hard work it can be achievable. Sometimes you can't always accomplish everything you want to but what's important is that you try with a lot of effort. Even if a person is not able to achieve their American dream, what's more important is that they try instead of giving up."

 When the song says “I know that sounds impossible but i am possibilities”  they are talking about when people try hard they can accomplish their goals.

Another quote from the song is “Everyone agrees that future is technology, so give me that education i need”, I think this is because the american dream today has changed and is based more on people's knowledge of technology.

The last quote is “Because the jobs of the future are gonna come from someone just like me” I feel like you have to learn new skills to compete in today's world and make money

The video says that people in the united states still believe in the american dream. It does say that the american dream is alive and well. Most people would want to cherish the time they have with their family and community over wealth. This shows how people really feel about the american dream in today's age. The people in the united states would like to live their lives how they want to. 8/10 americans believe that they are living their dream already with what they have close to them.

This article supports my thesis statement that the american dream is alive and well even today for most people. It says that the american dream sometimes looks different for people in todays age. Most people they interviewed said they just want " to have freedom of choice in how to live". People mostly said that they really belived they can make their dreams come true in america. The most important thing i think people wanted to make their american dream was the freedom to choose whatever they want to do in their life.
