1. Status-Quo

In finding Nemo before Nemo is born his mom is killed. Once Nemo was born he made a strong relationship with his father. Although his father loved he was very scared and overprotective of Nemo and would not let him do anything. Now Nemo is starting school within the coral reef. This is the status because this shows Nemo's normal life and his ordinary world

2. Call to Adventure

Nemo starts school in which they go to the "drop off" and Nemo swims out to off the reef to an boat. After Nemo touches the boat some divers swim up and grab Nemo then they swim away. This makes marlin go looking for Nemo. This is the call to adventure because this is the start of the conflict in the story making marlin have to find Nemo and go on a big journey.

3. Meeting the mentor

After trying to chase the boat that took Nemo. Marlin finds a blue fish named dory who has short term memory loss. Dory teaches marlin various lessons like staying positive which makes her the mentor.

4. Departure - Crossing the threshold

While chasing the boat to find Nemo he runs off the reef into the open ocean. As he is chasing the boat he meets Dory. They decide to follow the boat and look for Nemo.

This was crossing the threshold because they leave their normal life on the reef and go into the open ocean to rescue Nemo.

5. Trials

One of the trials is when Marlin and Dory get taken by a shark named Bruce to a party/therapy session. At this session dory gets hit in the nose by the divers mask releasing blood this makes Bruce go crazy and chase them. Another trial is when Marlin and Dory get caught in a giant horde of jelly fish and have to cross through them with getting stung. Then Dory gets stung and Marlin has to rescue her from the jellyfish. There are many other trials in Finding Nemo, but all these trials make Dory and Marlin stronger so they can find Nemo.

6. Approach

After leaving the EAC, Dory attempts to communicate with a whale for directions, but Marlin doesn't trust Dory's abilities to communicate with whales. This is the approach because it is the big inner conflict (Marlin doesn't trust Dory).

7. Crisis

Dory and Marlin, are swallowed by a whale, in which Marlin must learn to trust Dory and not be so scared of everything. Since Marlin trusted Dory and her ability to talk to whales and then the whale shoots them out and saved them.

8. Treasure

The treasure is that Marlin and Nemo learn a valuable lesson. This is the treasure because Nemo learns to obey his father. Also Marlin learns to trust Nemo and that him loose a little more.

9.Result

The result of the movie finding Nemo is that Marlin and Nemo reunite due to Marlin's hard work going all the way across the ocean.

Now they are closer than ever and will trust each other so much more so this does not happen again.

10. Return

11. New Life

After returning to the coral reef Nemo and Marlins ordinary lives are different. This is because Marlin has learned to trust Nemo. Also Nemo becomes better at obeying his father.

12. Resolution

The resolution is that Nemo and Marlin return to the coral reef and everything goes back to normal. Except that Marlin and Nemo trust each other more.
