In conclusion, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics currently is still going to continue despite the increase in cases. However, now with the sudden surge in number of cases in neighbouring countries such as South Korea and the risk level being increased to the maximum level of 'Very High', we feel that the 2020 Tokyo Olympics will be greatly affected, which may cause it to be staggered, postponed or even cancelled.

Different stakeholders will have different level of impact on the Olympic Games. The IOC and the Japanese Government will have the most say when it comes decision on the continuation of the games. Other stakeholders such as Japanese citizens and businesses will have almost no say in this decision and can only carry out demonstration, protests or go on strike if the decision is something they do not want.
