Yes there is, the traditions is similar to the lantern festival in Borobudur.

Answer :

Sadly no, because for some traditions it's based on religion. Most of us have different religions and mostly traditions is from Hindu's religion.

The Chinese people celebrate the Harvest festival in order to expressed their gratitude towards the growing harvest they gained for a year.

Answer :

Because moon cakes are difficult to make, especially for the timing. People intend's to buy it since it's more practical and they could just eat it right away without worrying about the taste.

Answer :

make the filling which is butter with sugar, then wrapping the yellow ball in a thin layer of pastry to shape the mooncake, and thenn brushing the top with egg yolk, and finally baking it in oven till golden brown.

5. Probably we don’t have a similiar traditions in our city. But we have a similiar traditions in our country like The Toraja Harvest Festival in South Sulawesi celebrates the rice harvest. It's filled with rituals, performances, and sharing the harvest.

A tradition in my country that is similar to the image before, is Canang Sari, these are daily offerings that are made by Balinese and are often seen on the groud near stores, small shrines, and even Balinese temples. I think this is similar because of how the lanterns are placed near the temple in the image, seemingly as offerings, just like the Canang Sari. (Basqia)

The first step is to make the fillings: it was shown on the video that the chef mixes butter with sugar for the fillings. But you can also make sweet red beans paste to put inside your mooncakes.

Second, the chef takes the paste and wrap a little amount of it in a thin layer of pastry.

Third, he places the dough inside a wooden mold to shape the mooncakes, one at a time, and put various patterns on top of them (flowers or chinese lotus).

Before the chef bakes the mooncakes, he brushed the top of each cakes with egg yolk. Then after they’re all baked and turned golden brown, the mooncakes will be left for one or two days before they’re served. (Kyla)

   Answer: There is similar tradition in my city, Bekasi. the tradition is called "Nyorog" which is Betawi tradition of sending food parcels and food ingredients as a form of respect, friendship, and preparation for the month of Ramadan or Eid al-Fitr.

   Answer: We don’t follow all of our country’s traditional customs because sometimes it prohibited in some religions, also our family race was mixed, not all of us are from the same origin to do the same tradition so we mostly only do that was like major tradition, for respect.

   Answer: It’s because Chinese people celebrate it for the rise of wheat in that year, they celebrate in full moon.

   - Because of its rare ingredients, the recipe is quite difficult and complicated way of making it.

   - Because Chinese people often gave people expensive things as a social gift, and usually Moon Cake that was brought usually had too many vendors which make it so expensive.

   • the final step is to let it rest for 1 day after baking it so the pastry is softer.
