My biggest takeaway from completing the introduction was a reinforcement that mental health challenges are never-ending, and impact a large amount of people. For my documentary, I chose to watch "Athlete A" via Netflix about the USA Gymnastics sexual assault allegations and lack of response. The documentary was incredible, and I felt showed how impactful sexual trauma can be. The featured gymnasts showed signs of distress and intense emotion when talking about their abuse.
