Understanding that they are going through a lot of so important because their mind might be on that parent that is gone at that time. As a future educator, don't really notice how many students who are affected from the military till you're in formed or experiencing yourself as an educator.&nbsp;<br>I played against Chapmen in middle school and high school. I didn't think about it till watching this video, about students attending Chapman who may have family members with a career on base (Fort Riley). &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

"Breaking the barrier of it being a touchy subject", this quote outlines the importance of how we should foster military connected students within our schools and really make them feel that sense of belonging within the building and community. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I didn't really know my father throughout my elementary school because I grew up in a different state from him. I grew up with my mother. I didn't know my father before the army or during his army experience. I began to know my father after the army, when I was closer to middle school age. This was the time were my father was learning how to cope with PTSD. This was not a fun experience for me...&nbsp;<br>I don't know, I feel when someone who has a parent struggling with PTSD is hard not just for the them, but is hard for the child. It's kind of like getting to know someone completely different.<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
