"No pain, no gain."

There are many proverbs in my Burmese language. Among them, my favorite is “no pain, no gain.” As the proverb suggests, we must work hard in our chosen career to improve our income and overcome life’s challenges—whether we rise or fall. Whenever we face struggles, we must show resilience and determination and never allow ourselves to be overwhelmed or defeated. Our generation truly deserves the rewards of our efforts so that future generations can live more easily and successfully. So, whenever I encounter challenges in life, I remind myself of this proverb. I believe that with persistence and hard work, I will overcome obstacles and achieve success—just as the saying promises.

There are a lot of customs in Vietnam. Gathering on the first day of Lunar New Year is my favorite custom.

On that day, all members in a family gather in their family with new clothes, they exchange some wishes in the new year such as health, luckiness, success or so on. Then they give some lucky money in red envelopes to senior members and junior members. After that, the host open a party with traditional food such as banh tet, banh chung and many delicious dishes. They eat, drink and share many stories. All make a relaxing, happy ambience. Not only me, but also Vietnames believe that time is important because we have a good time with our family to strengthen our bond, and it encourages us to get success in the coming year.
