There are many things that go into making an effective presentation I will list the things I find most important and what I will incorporate in my business presentation. First, I will brainstorm and try to think of a good idea/creative way to introduce myself. Second, I will identify my audience, figure out how I can relay the message easiest for them to understand. Third, I hope to find a way to keep it interesting and the audience entertained. I will also work on the layout/graphics of my presentation to make it standout and keep the audiences attention. Lastly, I will make sure to hit all of the required topics for this presentation. That way I can make sure I present what needs to be presented and not have too little or too much unnecessary information.
Thank you!

Creating an effective presentation can seem very daunting, which is why this reflection will list some steps that I find most important to create a business presentation. As mentioned in the video by Jason Teteak, being confident and calm is the key to keep people hooked in the introduction. Not letting the audience know I am nervous by standing still and not pacing will be the first step in setting the tone for an effective presentation. Another important part is to "avoid audience boredom" as mentioned in the business presentation guide. The information you are presenting does not matter at all if the audience does not care about it, hence why keeping them engaged is one of the most important parts. To wrap it all up, practice makes perfect. This will help in making sure you are confident and can convey your information properly to keep the audience engaged. The more you practice, the more prepared you will be and this will end in overall better results for you and the audience.

An effective presentation is one that engages the audience and makes them want to listen. An effective presentation will also leave the audience feeling like they really gained something from listening to the presentation. Specifically, there are many things that make a presentation effective, and I will do all of them within my business presentation. The first key aspect is to be confident. In being confident in yourself and what you're saying, your audience will want to listen. Another key aspect in making a presentation effective is to make your audience feel like they are getting something out of your presentation, so they will continue to listen. A third key aspect is to explain your agenda, so your audience knows what to expect. The last key aspect is to use visuals, so your audience stays engaged.

When it comes to preparing and making a presentation, a lot of people worry about making sure it is effective. In the video, it states that most adults will stop listening to your presentation within the first ten minutes if they are not convinced that there is something in it for them. So from the reading and the video, in order to have an effective presentation, you must have a strong introduction and you must connect with the audience and keep them interested the whole speech. Confidence is key in presentations and the best way to get that is through preparation.

With creating an effective presentation, I believe it is important in being able to show the audience that what you have to share with them is something that they want to know. In the video, Jason Teteak explains how show the audience what’s in it for them is a good way to keep them captivated with what you’re saying. In my business presentation, I hope to show this by doing a few things. One is to act confident; being able to show the audience that I believe in what I’m talking about can help create more intriguing presentation for the audience. Another thing is to know the audience, which was explained in the article. You should be constructing your presentation around who you are presenting to and what they are expecting to get out of the presentation. By doing this, you are better able to maintain the audiences’ attention.

In my opinion the effectiveness of a presentation lies within the eyes of your audience and how well you reached them. For this reason, the article we read really really hit on what I believed to be the most important aspects relating to content and delivery. Knowing your audience is definitely the key factor of a presentation because knowing who they are and the best way to communicate to them will definitely help you with delivery and effectiveness. Aside from that main point, I do believe confidence is huge! I think overconfidence or arrogance can sometimes kill the presentation a little because if the presenter is all talk and doesn't keep things real with the audience, the audience can lose interest. I think a good confidence technique is to keep the presentation conversational as if you were telling your friends to believe in something because it makes the presenter sound more natural and makes people more intrigued. The last key pointers to hit on are definitely practice to avoid mistakes and also help with confidence and lastly to avoid boredom at all costs by involving your audience!

Delivering a presentation is a stressful experience for a lot of people because they are nervous and can easily mess up. Therefore, I think confidence is one of the important factors in delivering an effective presentation because that will show how ready you are and your professionalism. Having eye contact with the audience is another way of showing confidence to the audience and have a good start. Jason Teteak mentioned that step one to have a killer open to your presentation is "Give a confidence Introduction". One other important point is having a clear focus on the content so the audience will know what the presentation is about. The article mentioned that tell the audience what you are going to say, then say it, and then tell them what you told them. Another point I think is important for delivering an effective presentation is getting the audience engaged. The audience can get bored if the content is not beneficial to them in any way, therefore, getting them engaged and keep their interest is crucial. I will try to implement these factors in my presentation such as being confident, having straightforward contents, and keeping the audience. I will also design the presentation to get attention from the audience and practice so I won’t mess up.

To have an effective business presentation you need to understand who you are talking to. Do they know a lot about the subject or is it their first time hearing about it? What are the needs of the people listening to the presentation, is it information, money, or for fun? You should be able to speak your presentation without having to use notes or read off of a notecard. You should be an expert in the information and should be able to answer most questions that comes your way. When you are presenting you should be able to see if the audiences is paying attention or dosing off and be able to adjust to their needs, maybe take a break or engage them into conversation. Number one thing to do is not to waste anyone's time. You should not take too long in explaining a topic that the audiences is not paying attention to because time is MONEY.

To deliver an effective presentation, it takes a lot of techniques to be truly successful. One of the main element is to keep the audience engage by showing your confidence and passion to connect with them. If the presenter is not interest in the topic that they are talking about, the audience can definitely tell and it will make them uninterested. So by showing your excitement toward the subject, it will help address the “so what” of the presentation and give the audience something to walk away with. Therefore the presenter need to put close attention on why the audience should care about the topic and what are their objections and concerns . Additionally, while delivering the message the presenter should keep it simple and concentrated on the core message. Lastly, I think one of the most important thing to have while giving an effective presentation is to have good eye contact and body language. These two elements are essential because it will make the audience feel important and it will help the presenter to facilitate engagement.

A big part of effective presentations comes from body language and confidence. I have noticed this in my other classes as being confident and having a relaxed posture eliminates unnecessary distractions and puts emphasis on the information being shared. An effective presentation also gets the audience engaged either through the material being presented or in the “hook.” A good hook makes the audience engaged by making them feel a certain way about the material you are sharing. Much of creating a successful presentation comes from getting the audience to be invested in the topic and to eventually take action on what you are presenting. This means that the presenter needs to capture the attention of the audience and to keep the presentation concise as to not distract from the purpose. In my presentation I will keep a calm posture and be confident in my delivery. I will also try to use as many relevant visuals as possible. This will capture the audiences attention but not distract from the overall points.

There are a lot of techniques that go into being a good presenter, and one must practice in order to hone in on these skills. For my presentation, there are a number of things I will do in the hopes of a quality presentation. I plan to be very clear and well-versed in the topic I am presenting.

There are so many aspects that go into creating an effective presentation. The first step would be to believe yourself what exactly you are talking about. It is also important to relate what you are talking about to your audience. Most remarkable speeches tell a story somehow. They have a purpose. Once you discover your story and your purpose you can work on other things such as body language, tone of voice etc. But, first of all it is important to want to keep your audience engaged. So to create a story and believe yourself what you are talking about is crucial.

After watching how to give a “killer open” and reading “The Ultimate Business Presentation Guide”, I have learned numerous strategies that will serve to be useful in my future presentations. One of the points from the speaker in the video said that resonated with me is to make your audience feel safe. A speaker can achieve this is by appearing to be calm even when they’re nervous by simply standing still, with their arms by their side and by speaking slowly. These verbal and non-verbal gestures can portray that the speaker is at ease which has the potential to create a domino effect by warranting the audience to also be at ease. In addition, I believe that an effective presentation is accomplished by relating the issue at hand to real-life scenarios using anecdotes/stories/etc. By creating this link, the speaker purports the question “why are we talking about this” that is answered by how they relate this to the audience’s personal life and/or the world as a whole.

Besides including what I have described above as tools that make an effective business presentation, I will also create an outline similar to the one in the article “The Ultimate Business Presentation Guide.” Creating outlines help to guide me in my presentations all the way from introducing myself with an elevator speech to concluding the speech with a summarization of main points. In my outline, I will discuss any background information or history on the topic before inviting the audience to discuss the issue or topic of my speech. In my opinion, this is the most important part of a speech, because it engages the audience further and relates the topic of the speech to their own opinions, lives, or experiences with such issue. Linking the speech’s content to the lives of audience members creates a connection that has the potential to last longer than the length of the speech itself.

Being able to give an effective presentation is important in the workplace. The important thing to keep in mind when giving an effective presentation is to give a confident introduction. This is because it is not about whether you are nervous, it is about whether you show it. Pacing and keeping your hands to your side is very beneficial when looking confident. An effective presenter will talk with a calm voice when giving his or her introduction. During this time it will be best to inform your audience what you can do for them and why you are the best person to deliver the information. Give a credible statement. This can be data, stats, and facts. This will lead your audience to trust you and make you seem more logical.

All this can be summarized when you have the winning elevator speech. Your solution should be something that benefits your audience. This is because captivating your audience in the first five minutes of your presentation is necessary. The main goal in this case is to reach the audience emotions. This will get them to listen to you. They need to know why they are going to need the information you are going to present. In addition, they also need to know why they are going to be more successful and why they are going to be more happy. Last but not the least, tell them what they are going to take away from the presentation that they are going to use in their personal and professional life.
