During the investigation we found that these men were at local bars picking up women, these married men would remove their wedding bands when on these dates to hide that they were married. I asked about the infinity symbol and why that may be relevant? The Police said if the eight is placed on its side could mean infinity, but when I pressed what other evidence that would link these two cases, only a crime of passion and the eight symbols are how they linking the two. If a crime of passion and using “eight” links crime that dates back 30 years to a string of murders make this related I don’t see the connection there are similarities, plus these crimes are muggings. Eight was used in the Infinity Killings but a little digging found there were nine murders in this cold case. The “Mugger of Eight” doesn’t seem to have a general area where the targets are coming from, at this point the crimes are occurring statewide.
